It wasn’t only the one woman who touched Jesus’ fringe that was healed. That was in Mark chapter 5. In chapter 6 we read: “56 And whithersoever He entered, into villages or cities or the country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought Him that they might touch even the border of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made whole.” This was the fulfillment of the prophecy that he would have healing in his “wings”. Beautiful stuff. Thanks for your insights.

I went to worship at the Temple Tuesday and Wednesday, the new changes that have been made are so so beautiful, it had tears running down my face. Love you and all our fellow men and women on this watch❤ sorry I am posting so early.

I remember I was traveling in some state as a young, lost, lonely person and was in a grocery store and saw a lady with a white blouse on and I could see she was wearing garments and it brought a flood of emotion and love for her and a love for all I was risking. Im back and will never leave and never take off the precious garment.

Testimony meeting is not where we proclaim what our most difficult temptation we face on a daily basis. That would be like someone stating that they want special attention and allowances because I ‘m temped to steal, gossip or lie, or have angry out bursts at my loved ones., or that I’m temped to make love to myself, because I’m special and God loves me so I have to be accepted because I have this temptation and it makes me a special person that you need to recognize. That is what I find inappropriate. Testimony meeting is for the witnessing of God and His hand in our lives.

Fortunately we will all be judged individually and we are individually worthy in our own lives, people that think that those of the past weren’t worthy to receive all the Lords blessings are missing the point. I happen to agree with you about the New Jerusalem. I once had the blessing of being at a Stake Conference in SLC where Elder LeGrand Richards was the visiting authority, as he was speaking at the end of the conference time had run out, he asked the congregation, do you want me to continue or stop, everyone in one voice yelled, continue, he did, one of the greatest sermons I’ve ever witnessed. Thanks for all you do and share. Love you brother.

Additionally, my thoughts as you spoke about the 28 temples surrounding the Salt Lake Temple, this quote came to mind: "The greatest events that have been spoken of by all the Holy Prophets will come along so naturally as the consequences of certain causes, that unless our eyes are enlightened by the Spirit of God, and the spirit of revelation rests upon us, we will fail to see that these are the events predicted by the Holy Prophets." -- George Q. Cannon Has not the building up of New Jerusalem of SLC occurred so NATURALLY? They’re not on a planned out square “complex” we’ve all pictured for years, but maybe that’s the greatest evidence of it? Unless you’re willing to truly see it, it doesn’t appear as what we’ve expected, but we are not God and his ways are not our ways. No one ever thought about a charred and dilapidated building being restored as a Holy Temple…until it happened (Provo City Center) No one thinks about SLC being the New Jerusalem…until it actually is. I don’t know, it all just makes sense to me.

I think the Lord in his own time will reclaim Jackson County, but as far as the "New Jerusalem" is concerned I think it is in Utah. It is built and ready. All we need is for our stakes to rise up reclaim their members. To become single minded and begin actively working to build ZION. Stop waiting and just begin, that is how every Zion city from Adam to the present began. The people decided to live it, then taught it, then prayed for and asked for it, after having already proven their actions through their good works. So let's get to work!!! Let's talk about it in church, let's discuss the mysteries that Christ wants to bestow upon us. Let's stop waiting for someone else to bring it up in priesthood. The time is now, our prophet has asked us to begin. He even blessed us with whatever we might need to make it happen, right from the pulpit. The call has come!

A thought when you described a individual in your ward using the pulpit to declare that they are Q. The Lord has told us that there is a purpose that the wheat and tares grow up together. We know why and we are living it! In my opinion…This individual basically sealed their separation from Christ by declaring that publicly. I find that people who have this need to blast that at us are very self centered which is the opposite of what Christ teaches us. The road they place themselves on (fighting for the acceptance of their own mortal appetites) is not the road Christ taught we need to be on. The road He was on. To serve. To be humble. To be meek and long suffering. To be teachable like a child. These are my thoughts as I listened to you. Hope all is well!

I've been watching/listening to you for a few years now. I appreciate your demeanor... I call you my "easy listening" podcaster. I most appreciate when you address political issues of the day. On another note...it always baffles me when "teachers" of the gospel, when reading/referencing the Old or New Testament don't ALWAYS acknowledge the JST's! One of the scriptures you read in this podcast is one of my all-time favorite JST (which you didn't acknowledge) it can seem as though Jesus is talking "down" to his mother at the wedding in St. John 2:4...BUT the footnoted JST helps us confirm in our hearts (the HG testifying of truth not only to us personally but further testifying that the prophet Joseph Smith...was indeed a prophet of God) Jesus said to his mother per JST: "Woman, what wilt thou have me to do for thee?" ...SO much more loving and respectful! ...a very important footnote to acknowledge IMO. I'm just a few minutes into the video as I write this, and I've not read all the comments, so maybe this point that hit me has already been well addressed. But frankly, the turning of water into wine had always before seemed like a pretty trivial use of the power of the Son of God. However, as I thought about it now, it hit me. This was very symbolic. The Atonement is meant to change us, to make us "new creatures in Christ Jesus". The Savior is here demonstrating His power to effect change, to take that which is common and mundane and make something special out of it. It really is all one Power to change water into wine and, eventually, "this corruption, into incorruption".

The New Jerusalem is a center place, a center city which shall be built up and established as the head- quarters of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Its location will be Independence, Jackson County, Missouri. “We believe… that Zion (The New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent” (Articles of Faith 1:10). “Zion, the New Jerusalem, on American soil! And we hasten to add, so also shall there be Zions in all lands and New Jerusalems in the mountains of the Lord in all the earth. But the American Zion shall be the capital city, the source whence the law shall go forth to govern all the earth. It shall be the city of the Great King. Our ward is usually overrun with the youth and many primary kids getting up and most times saying things that are embarrassing. So many say how "proud" (no such thing as righteous pride according to Pres E.B) they are of the youth getting up. I just lower my head and bare it. Occasionally one of those youth will be spot on and then THAT is inspirational. I yearn for testimonies that testify of Christ and lift me up. We don't get that too often.

The first two that came to mind were Jericho and Mary Magdalene. But that is the power of Christ isn't it? Atonement. For a long time people have thought - in order to be holy, the person or place must be pure. But nothing and no one is pure, without Jesus. Then the thought came, that this corruption of Salt Lake City, is a fulfillment of prophecy.❤️ Thank you so much, a very hopeful train of thought. 🙏 I appreciate you.

God, being... "in the details of the details of the details"... It is interesting to consider the similarity of the old Jerusalem to Salt Lake City (New Jerusalem?). In old Jerusalem, Jordan's life-giving water flows south (down--a symbol of dying as the city of God). In Utah, Jordan's life-giving water flows north (up--a symbol staying the "Higher & Holier" city of God???) The Great Salt Lake is the equivalent of the Dead Sea (full of salt). Lake Utah is the equivalent of the Sea of Galilee... with the Jordan River flowing between. Provo (MTC) would be the equivalent of Capernaum (which was on the northwest shore of the Sea of Galilee)--the place where Peter and others were called and went out from with Jesus... to be missionaries--fishers of men.

I agree. Thanks for the reminder about the fulfillment of the purposes of Missouri. I believe the "waters flowing from under the temple" prophecy has to do with the people coming in and out of the temple (as it will be when the Salt Lake Temple is finished).. We are the modern day Jews because we believe the bible to be the word of God and are willing to keep his commandments and do his ordinances. And, I am looking forward to the rededication of the Salt Lake Temple. I believe it will be a world-wide event among the church members, perhaps the 144,000 gathered on Mount Zion who will be enjoying the feast as they are worthy to attend this awesome acceptance of the temple (his house) and his bride. I mean think about it, in a Jewish wedding during the year of betrothal the groom goes off to prepare a place for his bride, and she helps too. And when he is ready, he comes to consulate the marriage and feast. We are his. And soon we feast.

Thank you Scott!! What happened to the scripture as a man thinketh so is he? Do we not follow that anymore? Is that not part of our teachings any more? No... cuz they "feel" like this that or the other. Ugh. I think I would have walked out. I just can't. It's sooo weird that the church allows us to "think" about not being a man or a woman of God. Weird that it's ok to "think" about being with same sex. NOT GOOD. We should only think about our true identity as a son or daughter of God. Also, New Jerusalem here in the SL Valley, totally plausible. Yet another thing they aren't saying flat out this is or isn't. Where is Pres. ET to speak straight. No mincing (literally).

Those are some good thoughts Scott. One thought I had about the first miracle was connected to the first miracle showed to Moses. With Moses the Lord changed a staff into a serpent and his hand into leprosy and back again. The Lord demonstrated his power over the elements.

That’s right. The New Jerusalem is about the covenant and the temple, not about individuals. We are still in a tellestial state. When Chris comes we will no longer be in that state and hopefully no queer proclaiming from the pulpit.

😮 What happened? I left a link to an online copy of the 1958 National Geographic magazine that features an article titled, “Geographical Twins, A World Apart” that compares Jordan River in Utah to Jordan River in Israel and the Great Salt Lake to the Dead Sea with their Capital cities approximately in the same place. Remarkable similarities! I thought it supports what you’re saying! However, it was removed. Wanting to know if I did that by error adding the link, or what?

Or how about Elder Holland. “Christ, who is the great ‘messenger of the covenant,’ did come to the first temple in this dispensation, in Kirtland, Ohio, on April 3, 1836. He has, of course, come to other temples and will yet do so-particularly in Jerusalem and Jackson County, Missouri-as part of the culmination of his majestic second coming.” (Christ And The New Covenant, p. 294))

This is pure gold Brother Palmer!!! GOLD! Yours is a voice of comfort for both me and my husband and your humor keeps us going and has provided a list of "Palmerisms" that never fail to make us chuckle 🤭🤣. We need Tshirts. 🙏😂 I am appalled at where I see things going but it only serves to remind me that this is what I've been waiting for. Sad but exciting at the same time. I can't remember the circumstances but years ago I was in a situation where I was traveling and didn't have clean garments so for the trip home I dressed without them. Ugh!!! First of all I felt naked/vulnerable and secondly I had forgotten how scratchy clothes feel against my skin. Very uncomfortable. Praying that Jane and family will be able to visit 🙏. Much love 💕😘💕

Interesting thoughts. Wondering about a few things. In the Bible dictionary under the word Zion it says that the city of the NewJerusalem, to be built in Jackson County Missouri, is to be called Zion. In D&C 133 it says that the land of Jerusalem and The land of Zion, shall be turned back into their own place...(will it end up back in Missouri when the earth is no longer divided?). The new Jerusalem is suppose to be a place of peace and safety and refuge and the wicked will not come into it (D&C 45) . So if it is SL are you thinking it would eventually become this?
@watcherpalmerlds Жыл бұрын
There has to be a New Jerusalem for scattered Israel to return to. The temple is the place of peace and safety. It is also the place the wicked will not come into. Once Christ comes, everything changes. The earth and the people will be changed and quickend. I know it says the new Jerusalem will be in Jackson county. Bruce R McConkie contributed much to the topical guide and dictionary. He was an amazing individual. I love him. I do have a different opinion on this. If you have noticed, the new Jerusalem in Jackson county has not really been preached by the Brethren for many years. Just my thoughts

Such a wonderful video, by the way you are looking so good. That cardio miracle is showing it’s working wonders. Don’t know if you will give your thoughts on this question, you have so many comments. I fully agree with you on the New Jerusalem. I think why there are some that disagree is it is in their patriarchal blessings that they will go back to Missouri and help build the New Jerusalem, isn’t the words given in these blessings from the Lord or part of it from the Patriarch? I will pray it works out for your children to come visit.

If the saints dont know that planets sat in the ancient heavens and what the ancients peoples called those planets and what legends and stories they put to them were, than they probably dont know that there will be a new arrangement of planets in our future millennium skies. They will cause such a catastrophic change upon earth during their return that (paraphrasing Brigham I believe) that "there wont be so much as a yellow dog to wag its tail in missouri" because the flooding and earthquakes that will happen will literally change the landscape to where the church's property is right now. It will be unrecognizable. I believe after learning about these planets returning (Joseph talked about them alot) that they will rest in the skies above "Adam Ondi Ahman" which is where Adam, our Father and our God dwelt, (where Joseph said was the garden if eden). These planets with their electric charges will rest upon that place and will make a refuge for the saints that can enter therein by the light that they carry and by their high vibration. No unclean or dark or low vibrational human or humanoid will be able to withstand the power of it. We know that the city of Enoch is a planet that has been broken off of Earth, it needs to return from where it was taken which is the Gulf of Mexico. We know that lost tribes will be returning on some of these pieces that have been broken off, the last one was broken off during the crucifixion according to the Prophet Joseph. The Prophet Joseph also said the last great sign of the coming of the son of man would be a comet, a planet. All these things show that there will be orbs returning to Earth Skies, until we see these things we can know that new New Jerusalem has not returned. Many mysteries and things not talked about. There are symbols all over the Salt Lake Temple and the temple grounds and on top of the conference center that are designs that these planets made in the skies. Just more proof that there will be new designs made in the future Skies

Come on, Scott! The Lord himself said Jackson County is where the New Jerusalem will be built. Why there? Because that’s where the Garden of Eden was located.
@watcherpalmerlds Жыл бұрын
It could have been the Garden of Eden, but the references to that are all second and third sources. Some of those sources also say that Joseph found alters of Adam and Eve there. The same source also stated that Joseph said that the City of Enoch was in the Gulf of Mexico. All this could be true, but it is really speculation. IMO
@bplionel2 Жыл бұрын
@@watcherpalmerlds I heard about the possibility of the Gulf being where the city of Enoch was, while in seminary. I also spent my mission mostly on the Gulf of Mexico, and had a second training area as Gulf Breeze, FL.

No one is saying the early Saints 'weren't good enough'. I served in the Utah Provo Mission (Spanish Speaking) back in 2006-2007. Utah has so many of these folklore traditions. My favorite was near St. George where a guy was telling us about mummified remains of 8 foot tall Jaredites, that were craves. I asked him to take me to them, he said "you're not consecrated too". Utah is a indeed a special place, with interesting people indeed.

It is possible that Salt Lake is a precursor to Jackson County... just as Kirtland was a precursor to Nauvoo... and Nauvoo to Salt Lake. The New Jerusalem may be after the building up of the Kingdom from Salt Lake... in the prophesies. It is also possible that Zion may mature to be like Enoch and then the Prophet of God may move the whole city (Salt Lake) to Missouri... as the brother of Jared moved a mountain. We just do not know what the Lord has in mind.

You mentioned the person "coming out" in sacrament meeting and how it upsets you. It upsets me also. I think that for many of us our most difficult challenge to our testimonies in the future may come from those who are rapidly infiltrating the Church with their woke ideology including the alphabet soup, CRT and abortion groups. Even BYU and Deseret Book are being affected with one BYU professor claiming that Jesus was actually gender neutral. Many good members may become disillusioned and quit coming.

We must stand for truth. It becomes difficult to do so and still be loving at the same time because we see in the BOM how the wicked take the truth to be hard, so often truth is going to offend people but that’s OK with me.

Revelation 21:16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. A furlong is 660 feet, so it calculates out to be 1500 miles. Driving distance from SLC to Independence MO. Is 1,086 miles. Depending on how you define center place of Zion, both could be in the borders.

Isaiah says... the Law should go forth out of Zion (the New Jerusalem)--the mountain of the Lord's house... established in the top of the mountains? Isaiah 2: 2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. 3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Orson F. Whitney: "Will our mission end here [in Utah]? Is the State of Utah the proper monument to the 'Mormon' people? No. . . . The monument to 'Mormonism' will stand in Jackson County, [Missouri]. There the great City will be built: There Zion will arise and shine, 'the joy of the whole Earth,' and there the Lord will come to His temple in His own time, when His people shall have made the required preparation." Commentary, p. 147. President Joseph Fielding Smith declared that "the center place, where the City New Jerusalem is to be built, is in Jackson County, Missouri. It was never the intention to substitute Utah or any other place for Jackson County." Doctrines of Salvation, 3:72.
