Seon is smart. He didn't want a center part or a part with high notes, because he knows where he can fit. And he did a great job with his part. He took the initiative in the distribution of parts. He started a conversation with the boys from the ground. Honestly, he has the best relationship with other contestants on the show. He like a bridge between the participants. Because he doesn't take sides in conflicts (mostly, he remains neutral), many people don't understand him. Hope, he will be in debut group.

imma share something, seon's MBTI is ENFJ. ENFJs are great leaders, so if you notice, when iLANDers are struggling Seon is the one helping. Like when Youngbin struggles in Dance and Niki struggles in his vocals. He cares so much to other trainees that he puts other trainees before himself in the line distribution. in the ep 1, when they had to perform, he takes the courage to be first. in the ep 2, when trainees have problems with Heesung, he tells them to say it to him than saying it in his back. in the ep 3, when they are distributing the lines and he asked the new ilanders what part they want. Seon is a great leader and he needs to be recognized. Being a leader does not mean you need to be excellent in everything, being a leader knows how to handle the team and making the team works.

Esther Kroon bcs most people watching this video are people who like Seon. In other videos you’d either see people hyping up Heesung, Sunghoon, Jake, Jay, and Daniel, or you’d see people hating on Seon, Niki, and K. Am I the only one that sees Seon as the leader of the group? If you watch closely both him and Heesung work together to manage the I-Landers. Seon tends to lead discussions as we saw when they were deciding parts and he is also there to talk and comfort the members when they're having a hard time; Seon even lead the group cheer before going up to perform Fire, which is a very leader like thing to do. Heesung also leads the group but he does that more with the actual performance and choreography. It's no coincidence that when Heesung rounded up all the I-Landers after the mid-point check to talks things through that he and Seon were sat against the mirror while the rest of them gather around them. I personally think Heesung will make a great Centre and Seon a great leader, it's a shame he gets so much hate.

To all those disliking his videos & leaving bad comments about him without knowing his story or just judging him easily; please instead of hating, spend few mins to rewatch the episodes. You will realise how wrong you are to see him in bad light. From epi 1 till 3, he is nowhere negative or manipulative... In epi 1, he just wanted others to know him as he was a SOLO performer so might have hardly known others. Building Relationship is no where manipulation but a way of survival. In Epi 2, he was THE ONE who told others to talk directly to Heeseung if there was conflict & not talk behind his back. PLUS he never wanted to replace Heeseung from center but only wanted to resolve issues for better performance... In Epi 3, knowing Heeseung is the Best center, he was the first to nominate him... For someone who has trained for 4 years, 10 months; almost 5 years, to have experienced failures & setbacks, you gotta understand his desperation for making his dream come true, for making debut in a Group with THE BEST members! So try & imagine that 15 year old boy who saw a dream & even at 20 hasnt given up... Hope people see The REAL HIM & not see him in Negative light based on personal judgement when he nowhere is That! I agree with this. I think he was just concerned of his team mate having a hard time during their practices and he just wants the best for everyone. If they didn't talk to Heesoong then i think more backstabbing would have happened. He is a good soul and i don't get it why people judge him so quickly without even understanding his intention. I agree with you... that's why I don't really see why they hated him where even I rewatch every episode I can't see him badmouthing anyone or even manipulating anyone...all I can see is he wants to reach out to other trainees as he was a solo trainee there... I don’t think you guys get the type of situation he’s in- it’s clear that he’s among the people who are determined to have a spot and see it as a straight up competition. This might make him look “two faced” or “selfish” but just like any other person he’s trying to debut- he’s just not as good as hiding it like others. I agree that the first episode he really didn’t appeal to me because of his attitude but to me it seems that he’s getting more comfortable and hopefully soon everyone will see that. Seon is one of my top picks at I-LAND. During these 3 episodes he has shown how such a charismatic performer he is and I loved his parts in the two stages so far. He really does not deserve the hate - he is good at communicating and addressing a problem he saw in the second episode without attacking anyone is not problematic. He seems to have a good relationship with Heeseung as well, Heeseung recommended Seon for his part in Fire in this episode. Also I want to point out that he was the only person at least shown in the broadcast that asked the opinions of those who just came from the ground. Seon fighting!! 💖

But also lets think of it from another perspective, if you were to enter a house filled with 12 boys (or people in general) that you generally don't know, what would you do? He breaks the ice by initiating conversations as he did when sitting on the couch after they entered I-land for the first time, he analyzed and broke down the first test for everyone, when Ni-ki said he wanted to be center seon responded by that we should look at everyones talents before making a decision. And then when Ni-ki was struggling, seon was the one to go over and try to help him and see if he could really do it, showing the concern that a hyung should have. I am sorry if I am coming off as agressive, but i'm so tired of all the hate seon is getting for no reason. He has a better personality than some of the people on I-land in my opinion, but I'm not going to name drop them or hate them.

Everyone who is being mean to Seon should think about the fact that this is Mnet and they already screwed him over once in Produce 101 S2. Does anyone else remember him in produce? I've spent the past couple years wondering what happened to him cause the other Yuehua trainees all debuted (Justin and Jung Jung in NEX7), and Hyunseop and Euiwoong together. Seunghyuk disappeared, but here he is, now known as Seon. Mnet has been known to fuck him over!

Fighting, Seon! He is getting so much hate, it makes me sad... Basically because he doesn't have the most expressive face and he is calm, everyone thinks he is fake. But if you watch the show objectively the other contestants like him, and they are around him far more than us who just see a few minutes of footage. He is older than most and takes his role seriously, he's like the mom on I-Land, he helps the others organise and communicate, he makes sure all voices are heard. Because of this he is often the one speaking when difficult situations arise and editing makes people jump to conclusions. I think he'd be a great addition to the group when they debut.

I agree! I think that in the first episode he was just very nervous. Imagine, being the first one. He was probably just thinking over and over about it and embarrassed since everyone was so calm during their performance. I think people should give him a chance and see his true colors instead of judging him just like that. ❤❤ he deserves more love.

some people are so quick to judge one's character and I hate it. Remember, this show compresses a week of footage into an hour. We never know what is happening throughout that week. Seon remains in I-land because probably in the eyes of other I-landers he did great. So wishing that he should go to ground is not that nice or wishing him to be eliminated from the show is too far fetched . FIGHTING SEON!

Exactly! He must be a good person overall, and the trainees would know that, living with him and all. The trainees see the real him, and we see the mnet-evil-edited him. So obviously we don't know how he really is but we shud trust the other trainees. If they haven't voted him out yet, he must have some reason for being able to stay.

I'm really mad at how much hate has been earned by probably bad edits... In today's episode he didn't even appear entirely in his own part of the song... Probably he is one of the least popular and it makes me stay very sad and anger because they can't really appreciate it, why so much hate? I don’t know anymore Another thing is music, many people don't really focus on that too much but music very much so sets the tone for things. I'll give an example: Listen closely to the background music during the scene where they plan to go tell Heesung their worries. Their tone of voice sounds genuinely concerned but the music makes it seem worse than it is. I bet you that if that scene didn't have any background music it wouldn't have seemed like they were evil scheming. Music sets the tone honestly, and the music that they chose made it sound like they were going to murder someone 💀

kang seulgi people have been hating on him because he makes it clear where his priorities are. This makes him look like he only cares about himself which I mean like I won’t lie it does but like I think people just need to be more understanding of him. He’s just focusing too much on trying to secure his spot in I land. Hopefully later on he stops focusing a little less on that and actually letting himself be shown for who he truly is.

I took his actions as being insecure of what happened during episode 1. He needed to be that guy since he thought that he might get voted out because of his performance. Good thing is he proved himself in episode 2 and 3. In episode 3 he took charge in assigning part.

Kim Taehyung this is what I thought too- he’s doing great for a survival show and of course he’s going to be insecure about losing his spot when there are like 22 other people who could take his spot at any moment. So like now the only reason he’s the “bad guy” is because he’s trying to debut? And also the fact that everyone is basing off their opinion on him from that first episode and are still hating him is annoying. Like the third episode. I know he called them “grounders” but people really think he said it as if he really wanted to offend them or something. I don’t know I just hope people stop confusing it like that.

Personally don't agree with the way he's done things but I admire his honesty about it to the audience. He's up front about why he's doing what he does and even if it does seem manipulative, There are plenty of trainees who are like this. In fact all of them probably are in this kind of industry (minus Ta-ki the lil guy). It's understandable when putting yourself in his shoes. I wouldn't have done what he does if I were in those situations. But I can see why he did come across that way. They've also got to create genre so first stop pretending to be a morally perfect and righteous person to judge others like you are. And don't assume your faves are also morally just and perfect either. We're all human and should be seen as individuals who react differently in certain situations and conditions. Not to mention we've only seen three hours of all of their personalities. I doubt we know any of them well enough to even judge period. Just had to say this. He isn't my fave, but he doesn't deserve all this hate. *drama no genre lol
