Hanbin may not be the best singer or dancer among the trainees but he knows how to enjoy the stage which you can see in this performance. Hanbin looks like the new Dark Horse of the competition. In Part 1 episodes, I feel Jung Won (the first Dark Horse) just appeared out of no where and succeeded it standing out with his skills. Hanbin has been pretty much discreet in Part 1 episodes. Somehow portrayed incapable. His short height and lack of proficiency in Korean made him less interesting in Part 1. But for this episode, Hanbin was outstanding. He is fully aware of camera angles (possibly because he has done many many KZbin dance videos, recorded in public). Has very upbeat positive presence on stage and is not shy to smile and flirt with the camera. A good artist is someone who’s good at ‘making love’ to the camera. Meaning, you make the camera want to focus on you or shoot you more. I never voted once for Hanbin but I voted for him today for several reasons; 1) He’s South East Asian - like Lisa from Blackpink, he is the sole ASEAN rep in I-land competition and can probably pull in votes and viewers from this region. ASEAN citizens are among the biggest consumers of the internet and online purchase. By having at least one ASEAN rep in your boy band/brand, you can reach out to more potential clients and album/merchandise buyers. From a business perspective, Hanbin whether or not he is the best I-lander right now, he is worth investing in. 2) He brings in most views on KZbin now for solo focus videos (or whatever you call it). And that is pretty obvious why. You have a mixture of Koreans and South East Asians from Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia rooting for him. Possibly because he’s the sole rep for ASEAN and this episode proves he is not a bad performer. 3) He can dance. This episode proves he has talents, has better camera understanding than half of the other ilanders means he is perfect for mtv shoots. 4) He is pleasant and extremely supportive of everyone. 5) He’s been in the ground and doesn’t have the entitled attitude of some reps in I-lander team. 6) Language is not a barrier. Despite lacking Korean speaking skills like the rest, he is still able to communicate and work with the rest with respect. Good luck Hanbin. I honestly wasn’t expecting you to be potential top 7 from day 1, but I now see you as one. 👏🏼

I'm from Indonesia (which has the most voters in I-Land) and what I see are more people rooting for Jay, Sunoo and Jake. I think people haven't realize Hanbin's talent yet. He’s an absolute natural performer. You can see how relaxed and comfortable he is on stage. It’s all natural. The way he vibes on the side when he’s not dancing and he still mouths lyrics that he doesn’t sing. He has outstandingly stable vocals and dance. The show clearly discriminates him, the amount of screen time he gets is so disappointing. I personally think he did the best out of this team. He maintains a great attitude and mindset throughout the show. I don’t understand why the judges only pointed that out but not his performance. How in the heck could he place 9th? I will tell u something, I fell in love with Hanbin at first, when he, Niki and Nicholas performed. He was the best!!! And I was expecting so many things from him, BUT.... His performance in Ground was terrible, and I am not talking about the stage cuz that was cool, but how he looked on cams. He was not confident, he was not trying to shine like some grounders... so I lost my interest in him. Actually I fell in love with him again. I'm so happy that he looks more confident! Our fanbase really isn’t that big compared to the others and I think the reason why Hanbin got #8 last time was because people voted for their bias along with the lowest ranking trainee, which was Hanbin at that time. So now since Hanbin isn’t #12 anymore, I think people will vote more for Jay and Niki along with their bias since they’re at the bottom now. It really worries me because Hanbin is in danger. Hanbin was never in my debut list tbh (heeseung, sunghoon, K, jungwon, jay, sunoo, jake) but there's something in him that makes him so deserving to be part of the group. Most people are “stuck” on the idea of keeping the Producers “6 picks”, yes most of them are talented but think of bigger picture what can help Debut Group stands out. Besides his great attitudes & dance/stage presence, Hanbin’s unique vocal surprisingly complement really well with Heesung & Jungwon. Hanbin has great facial expression. My bias is NI-KI but I admit, the only person who truly seems to enjoy this stage is Hanbin. And I did my research, his fancams are the most viewed in KZbin (he's the only trainee with 4 fancams that have more 500k+ views each), and the only trainee that has reached 800k+ views in a single fancam (DNA) per 21 September 2020... EDIT: And by 20 October 2020 this fancam has reached 1M+ views! This is so crazy! The first trainee to achieved so, and he's not even in the debuting members... I had wanted Ni-Ki's Flame On fancam to be the first to reach 1M+ views, but I gotta give this to Hanbin. He really deserves it. CONGRATS HANBIN!
