You also can’t make it so that they look for them for too long, because most likely those who are looking do it in their free time, and making their day off essentially a working day is somehow wrong, both morally and financially.

Great stuff ! Retired police pilot here, our FLIR was so sensitive I directed ground units to ant hills. We would have found the beaver den hiding area easily but the dirt hiding area would have been tough. Excellent video

I presume it would also do a fairly good job finding people hidden in thin structures like roofs, sheds and outdoor boxes. Did people ever conceal stuff in stone slab patios and paths? That seems like an easy way to make a hiding spot really undetectable.
