Would just like to address that I appreciate the feedback on this video. I understand many people are thrown off my sponsored content. I personally had a lot of fun making this video and found the provided device extremely useful (hence the sponsorship). If you feel I did not provide you any value in the video and simply used it for marketing I apologize. Even when I do sponsored videos I try my best to front load value and information, but clearly in this video I failed. I will happily continue purely educational coding videos but I also have to post what you all click on and engage with. Unfortunately videos such as these perform significantly better than coding content, and as KZbinr I do have to play by the algorithm. Regardless appreciate all your honest feedback!

I would love to see more of this content as hacking and programming go hand in hand. As far as the sponsored content your demo may have been a little to long but people tend to talk about things that they are excited about and I could see that you were so don't be so hard on yourself.
@ImPickleMan Жыл бұрын
More ethical hacking and cyber security content from you would be awesome. Especially if you are passionate about it. As for feedback I think a lot of people wanted to see a demonstration more then just talking points and the fact that the video basically ends at 8:33 and the rest is an ad kinda sucks.

I am puzzled by this. Some things make no sense to me 1) If a browser is tricked into connecting to an HTTP server, surely the browser would indicate this. 2) You are trusting a closed source device, with no idea what the data does to your data. The most obvious is they use their server. 3) Making a connection from another country can be done free with the Tor Onion browser, which uses a decentralised network. Unlike the device you are promoting, the source is open, so it’s open to public scrutiny. You can be pretty sure any real security professional would not want that device. Personally I would not use it, even if it was provided it free.

I don't see how this device is any more secure or different from other popular vpns? Instead of your traffic going through company x servers its going through other deeper devices. Who is to say that they don't send that traffic to their own servers for data harvesting or the person who controls the device on the other end is not tampering with it. There are many vpns that either have no logging rules, ram based servers, or have had their servers seized by authorities with nothing to be gained.
@MrMisticoMagico Жыл бұрын
It is a decentralized network, you cannot just harvest data at your own will. All the other VPN services are centralized, they can tell you whatever they want, but they control your data. People do not realize these are the first steps for the Web3, a truly decentralized and democratic Internet.
@ImPickleMan Жыл бұрын
Why can't they? It's their hardware and software which is closed source of course. Decentralized things are cool but at the end of the day you are trusting them to get your data where you want it and other then them who is to say they are not collecting traffic going through their devices. These devices are just as secure if not less secure then any vpn.
@Tyler222-zr1ck Жыл бұрын
I think they would have blocks to stop gaming your own device. Plus, a vpn server is a goldmine for data. I’d rather have my privacy be private than have another company make money off my existence.
@CarmeloRaul Жыл бұрын
Been following the project for a while now and as far as I can tell there is no deeper server, had a few more techie friends look into everything connection wise and they couldnt ping a server that actually sees any data, its encrypted before it even leaves my network. I think its better in the sense that Im not connecting to netflix (just for example) with a commerical IP, instead im using a regular persons residential IP that hasnt had 1000s using it, resulting in it being detected as a VPN. There is no way for the end user to tamper with it as its AES encryption. To date no one has been able to crack AES.
@MrMisticoMagico Жыл бұрын
@@CarmeloRaul Finally someone is making sense. I am tired of all these guys talking about what they have no idea. I know it is not open source at the moment, the software it is their only technological edge against competition. I know they plan to make it open source once they have a big and robust enough world wide network. At the moment they are present in 152 countries with more than 100k nodes. Once they have reached 1M nodes, they will probably not sell any hardware anymore.

Who's servers or network endpoints is the decentralized geo-unblocking going through? Like, if you are changing your Peacock source from Canada to North America (US) then your connection must be existing somewhere in the US. That server has the same ability to inspect and manipulate your traffic. If you are not paying any subscription, then I'm curious about what the guarantee is for that network's security.

I know that Wi-Fi routers give out a big signal of electromagnetic radiation, and that's why I don't use my router super close to my head all the time because it is protentional harmful to humans. But using this DeeperConnect Air how strong is the signal to intercept your Wi-Fi router, or how does that work? I wouldn't feel safe having a full-on Wi-Fi router sitting next to my head all the time when I'm on the computer, but again I am not very educated on this matter it's just my concerns, so is this like a wifi router's signal, or is it just like the signal a computer sends out which is less strong compared to a wifi router?
