So since youre new to this and youve now gotten them, just a little info to help you out: Orokin Potatoes (Catalysts and Reactors): They double the mod capacity of your Frames (Reactor) and Weapons (Catalyst). So if you have a capacity of 15, slap one on and itll jump to 30. This is a BIG deal when it comes to making your gear strong. Exilus Adaptors: There are two types, one for weapons, one for frames. When you go to a weapon or frame upgrade section, youll see a mod slot that has a padlock symbol on it, and another that looks like 2 chevrons between two brackets. That is the Exilus slot, and the adaptor unlocks it. You can only put Exilus mods in those slots (theyll also share the Chevron and bracket symbol) and are typically mods that give you a little extra utility, like weapon ammo conversion for weapons, or some small ability buffs for frames. And as an extra, Forma: Forma are another of these special items that lets you add or change a Polarity of a mod slot on your weapon or frame. A Polarity, when you look at a frame or weapon mod slot, is that small symbol that looks like a V, a D, a dash, and two scratch marks. When you match a mod with that symbol to that mod slot, tll HALF the capacity cost of that mod. EG, throw a 10 cost V mod into a V slot, itll cost 5. If you put a mod of a different type into that slot itll cost MORE. When you add a Forma, you can add a new polarity to a slot, or change one thats already there. This is also how you improve your gear even further. It comes at a cost though, in that itll reset that frame or weapons level to 0, and must be re-levelled again, but this is absolutely worth it for the long term gain you get from adding more and more Forma. Be warned however, that Forma arent a very easily obtainable resource this early on, so if you get any be VERY sure on what you want to put it on and what mod you want to use it for.

7:38 the old war, we at most have flash backs to it but no gameplay of it. we are getting 1999 which is way before the old war but in a different block time (alternative timeline reality thingy) the tenno went sleepy at the end of the war because we had fell sentients and the orokin empire. and instead of doing anything we left the corpus, grineer and civilians to their own devices leading to the world we wake up into

I see a lot of people giving advice for levelling, with most suggesting playing multiplayer. HOWEVER, I would personally recommend staying solo until at least the Second Dream is completed. Some people use spoiler-related items and mechanics you earn as a reward for completing the mission in public settings, and you might enjoy the story more if you discover what it offers before you make the transference from fighting alone to fighting together. Hmmmm, you have a cat...... Warframe has creatures known as Kavats. They are like combat cats the same way Kubrows are combat dogs. You find them on Deimos missions, though not on the open world itself. Find them on the derelict tilesets around Deimos, scan the Kavats with the Codex scanner to gain their gene codes, and you could get yourself a combat kitty.

Teshin isn't a Tenno, he's a Dax from the Orokin Era Empire. Tyl Regor called him a Pseudo-Tenno because Dax were a high ranking warrior that were the main force of the Orokin, around before the Warframes were created. After their introduction, the Tenno were used for more specialized tasks, while the Dax continued to remain the main forces of the Orokin. Most died with the Empire, but some survived to this day, Teshin being one of those few survivors.

Orokin catalyst double the mod capacity for weapons. You can see on 18:14 that your atomos has a capacity of 5 right now. Allowing you to put bigger, better, and more mods of your weapons. Orokin reactors do the same thing but for warframes/archwings. The Warframe community calls them potatoes. Once you get to about mid-level content they become essential. Also just let you know gifted warframes/weapons already come with potatoes installed.

To do Oro: Ignore the boss entirely. Keep moving forward until you get inside a water tube that leaves you in an enclosed area where the boss will spawn for a third or fourth time. there yoy fight him. You have to wait until he removes his helmet/mask to damage him a bit. Repeat until a cutscene plays and you can shoot him anywhere.

A fair warning, archwing and its weapon have their own levels too, and it used to be pretty hard to get good mods for the archguns, so it's very easy for them to feel weak in mid-late star chart content.

Don't worry too much about extractors, most folk just ignore them. Only time i'd say it may be a good idea, is on the planets that give orokin cells (Diemos, Ceres, Saturn), as you will always be needing more of these (litrally always, I'm Mr31, and i still need more of the damned things), and you can get a few a week with 0 time invesment using instractors. Missions for exclusivley leveling is basically Sancuary Onslaught only at this point in the game. HOWEVER i'm addicted to two (or more) birds one stone, and so you can also do various endless missions (defense, survival, excavation, Interception), either farming for resorces you need, or opening void relics. Grinding for one thing while also leveling up your stuff. (i reccomend staying to the C loot, so 20 waves, 20 mins, 4 interceptions. for the best loot) Or you could even look up some of the more useful mods you need but don't have, and grind for them, which will also get you some xp. (Just be warned, on the topic of leveling, if you use a forma on a warframe or weapon, it will reset its level. I would also reccomend against forma-ing excalibur at all at this point in the game) I also may reccomend looking into trying other warframes Excalibur is quite a bit of a "caster frame" where you rely on your abilities (mostly your 4) to deal damage, as you have no buffs or anything for your guns. and no added survivurability from your abilities. A very good early one to look for, expecially to help boost gun damage and survivability, is Rhino. His 2 gives you a tonne of bonus "overguard", and his 4 gives you a flat % damage boost to all damage. (Found killing the Jackal on Fossa, Venus) Exepcially as you seem to love your fulmin (and for good reason, amazing gun) Also, you are so close to the Second dream and i am *so hyped*

Vay Hek has periods of invincibility, just kill the other grineer until his invincibility ends. You can skip phase 1 and phase 2 by running straight through the rooms into the final chamber. Grineer are weak to corrosive damage (toxin + electricity), and heat. Corpus are weak to toxin, and magnetic (electricity + cold) Infested are weak to gas (toxin + heat) Adding elemental damage to your weapons will increase your total damage. The catalysts and reactors you received will increase your total mod capacity of the warframe or weapon they are installed in. In your Arsenal, go to upgrade (weapon or warframe), then Actions, you will be able to add a reactor or catalyst, if it does not already have one installed.

The best places to level stuff up at are helene on saturn and hydron on sedna, because the missions are so small you're basically always in shared affinity range and will be gaining a ton of affinity from your teammates. And the orokin reactors are used to double your mod capacity on warframes while the orokin catalyst are used to double mod capacity on wepons. A tip for the vey hek fight you can completely skip phase 1 and 2 just by running past him and into the final area which will automatically start phase 3.

I highly recommend looking into Rhino, or even Saryn later down the line. Both are very much frames you can take to middle or end game if properly modded. Also take your time and the “potatoes” will double your mod capacity so max would be 60 if you max a weapon to 30 same instance with a Warframe. They become essential mid game and endgame. Also if you want to run exterminate and survival missions Titania is perfect for that. Best of luck and this is one of my favorite beginner channels to watch! Second dream is going to be very exciting, glad you’re loving the story and I appreciate the commentary on it! Also the laughing you heard was a manic, a new grineer type that is a creation of tyl regor. Its more so a new grineer with some stealth capabilites, but melee focused. Tyl Regor is a gyne scientist, working on trying to undo the years of grineer gene deterioration due to the constant cloning/stretching of the orokin era genes over many years. Think of the grineer as the clones from Star Wars. During the orokin era, they were the general military force/at times labor class, with the corpus more so being labor. (If you find the back story for Parvos Granum, you learn his father and family were farmers before he began to delve into capitalism/economic philosophy. In warframe now, there is the main grineer force, ruled by the twin queens, (you meet them during a quest later on after character creation) with then a breakdown of different sub leaders (vor, tyl regor, vey hek, etc.)

Experience/affinity is split 4 ways (25% to each weapon, and 25% to your frame) if you go i to a mission with a maxed weapon it still collects but does nothing to adnvance it. But, if you want to level a single weapon faster go with only that weapon as itll get 75%, and the other 25% going to the frame. Exception to the rule is kills from abilities 100% goes to the frame.

Hey! I was absent the last couple videos (Watched em, but didn't comment, as I didn't think there was anything for me to contribute as everyone else has done wonderfully so far getting you up to speed). Natah's a great quest. I haven't replayed it in so long, its refreshing hearing the dialogue again. Its really cool seeing all the set up for the story of warframe going forward. Second Dream also features some of the game's strongest music, so you're definitely going to want to have that turned up when you do that quest. (and be sure not to edit in any music over that footage! Dont get me wrong, i love the Destiny OST, but Warframe's ost really shines when its given the chance to!) If you wanna level up your weapons quickly, definitely play multiplayer. When your teammates (who are close to you) kill stuff with their weapons and especially their Warframes, you gain bonus affinity. Defense missions used to be king for leveling things up, because people stayed together all the time. I'd say if you come across a relic mission that's also Defense, go for it. But nowadays "Sanctuary Onslaught" is the most popular option for leveling. However you don't get any resources/loot from that. Just exp. Find a teammate who'd play Saryn or Mirage, or someone else that can nuke the entire map constantly, and watch your weapons hit level 30 in less than 10 minutes.

In case you weren't aware , the Orokin Catalyst and Reactors are called "Potatoes" because, as stated by Darvo during that quest with him and Clem, it stands for "Potent Orokin Technical Augmentation and Tactical Offensive" reactor/catalyst. Completely useless fact, that you might already be aware of, but none the less, I find it interesting.

So when it comes to leveling the basic jist is that using the weapons levels it, but way more efficient or more fun is the squad bonus. When you play with other people, and stay relatively close to each other, you share the exp and that one also goes into the weapons you arent actively using. So usually people will do that in a endless mission. Dark sector missions and opening up relics can give you a bit more exp. anyways, things are getting spicy. Glad you enjoyed the mission, I think people often do not appreciate the set up it does for the second dream. Also, Im open to more cat breaks xD

"how do i level stuff up?" OH BOY, I GET TO VETSPLAIN ABOUT AFFINITY NOW! "affinity", or weapon xp, are the numbers in the blueish white that show up after killing something, watching a teammate kill it, or completing an objective. for the most part, all you'll need to know about it is this (though last i looked into it was a few years ago, so maybe they changed something but i doubt it) - kills with an weuipped weapon split the gained affinity 50/50 between the weapon used and the warframe you have equipped. - kills with a warframe's ability (or archwing, or necramech, or whatever else) send all the affinity from killed enemies straight to the warframe. - kills from teammates, or points from an objective, will be split 25% to your equipped warframe, and 75% split between your equipped weapons. - items that are already their max lvel (30 for the vast majority of items, but 40 for a select 5 dozen or whatever for a story-related greatsword, necramechs and lich weapons) will still leech affinity, tied to a system you'll unlock and make use of after completing the Second Dream quest - you may have noticed a "stealth kill affinity bonus" ("SKAB") in the buffs bar, which is pretty straightforward. if you kill an enemy that is unaware of your presence and in an unalerted state (easier noticed by checking if they're walking or standing around with their weapon lowered), you'll get a 100% bonus to affinity gained until the timer runs out (refreshes upon a new kill/stack), or until you kill an enemy that is alerted. it stacks up to 5 times, for a 5x affinity boost. the most efficient way to level weapons and warframes is to either make use of the SKAB with a warframe that can go invisible and/or put things to sleep, which isn't so easily obtainable and doesn't even work for every item until much later in your progression, or to go to a high-level defense weapon and just vibe. the three missions in particular that come to mind are Helene on Saturn, which is a grineer defense, or Hydron on Sedna, which is... also grineer defense. the third mission is Sanctuary Onslaught, which kinda like survival, but the only way to get life support is through mass murder. there's also Elite Sanctuary Onslaught ("ESO"), but that one only lets you in if your warframe is level 30, or if you've applied a forma to it. for some reason. It also drops two weapons at ludicrously low rates, with a player-driven price tag to match, and one of the two modes drops the warframe Khora, though i forget which. Khora can be best described as "kinky BDSM wine mom cat lady". in my opinion, farm Helene for a while, since enemies there can drop a rare resource by the moniker of "Orokin Cells", which are needed for a LOT of high-tier crafts. With any luck, teammates will come in to farm a resource you'll come to know after The Second Dream, tied to the above system i aluded to, meaning they'll want to get all the kills anyway. Because of that, i also recommend only entering with one equipped weapon at a time, to make use of the teammate affinity distribution, sending 75% of affinity they make straight to your weapon. at a later point, ESO is easily the single most efficient way. However, if you really feel like it, you can use the warframe dropped by the boss on Uranus, named Equinox, who is able to put enemies to sleep from a startling distance. this can be used to crank out SKAB stacks, which is slower but imo more fun. honorable mention for spy missions, giving you a pretty hefty bonus to affinity gained (which acts like a teammate kill, 25/75 between warframe and weapons) for hacking into a vault without tripping any alarms whatsoever. i like that if i'm really bored, but i also think Spy missions are really fun anyway.

If you're not solo then bring just the one weapon so the shared split goes into it more. Also, objectives are treated like affinity from a squad mate, so like hacking into a spy vault without setting off alarms.

To level weapons and other stuff: it is best to do it with team mates. For every kill in affinity range you also get a big portion of the kills affinity (exp). Also, the affinity you get is shared among your equipment you have on that mission, so if you want to level a gun faster equip just said gun. Best missions are usually survivals with friend's, lot's of enemies and you have a chance to get a booster. Why with friends? Because you should coordinate and group up in a room or two to bundle and funnel the enemies. Grineer give the most affinity out of all factions btw. Another good spot can be dark sector survivals, bonus resources and infested are usually easy to kill and swarm in big numbers. The red thing is an exilus adapter (or tomato, as we call them) it unlocks the mod slot beside your aura slot, where you have a specific slot for certain mechanisms like e.g. tennokai and mobility mods.

11:00 teshin isnt a "tenno" hes a "dax" which is a basically a pseudo tenno, they a warrior class trained and controlled by the orokin during the orokin era. they have access to some similar things to that of the tenno. but are much less capable at achieving things the tenno could. for a part of the old war the dax were able to near hault the sentient progression with a specific dax being commended for his achievement at slowing the sentient invasion (you will meet him in the story).

If you want to level a specific weapon up faster, unequip every other weapon you have. This makes it so that all of the passive XP you gain only goes to that weapon. Helene is a great place to do this, playing in lobbies with others grants you extra XP as well.

The easiest way for you to level up items currently is to pllay with other players in high level missions, Helene on Saturn is a popular XP grinding location and there are lots of players that go there with strong enough gear to carry you through the mission. Hydron on Sedna is a direct upgrade to Helene as it uses the same small map which is great for defense and there are even more players that matchmake there.

I'm pretty sure all the kills you get with your abilities split the XP between all your weapons. So you can use your ult and slice the hell out of everything to level them up even if they are weak. Atomos is really strong with some good mods on it, and I think there's an upgrade you can do to it in the lategame that makes it insane. Beam weapons like that tend to be really good at spreading status effects that can CC and strip armor from enemies. Again, thanks for the videos.. have enjoyed them a ton. One more thing I'll add is that those Orokin Reactors are used to upgrade Warframe to double the mod capacity, and the Catalyst are for weapons. So you can use some of the ones you've been gifted to juice up some of your favorites. Mods (especially high ranked ones) can add a TON of stats and damage, and the right damage type will absolutely melt enemies. For example, Toxin damage bypasses shields so it crushes most Corpus. A level 30 weapon or Warframe will have 30 mod point capacity, or 60 with an Orokin potato, so remember to keep updating your mods! Double edit: Is your cat named Mints or Mince? Love the kitty :D

For boss on oro he has a device on top of his head, periodically it will glow yellow. While it is glowing yellowing you shoot it, which deals damage to him. Repeat this until he retreats, after you go through the water tube do the same thing but this time eventually after you deal enough damage he hops in his big bird transformer suit, This is the final phase. Once he does this then you can shoot him anywhere and finish the fight. Just remember shoot the yellow glowing thing when it starts glowing, don’t just shoot him, shoot the yellow glowing thing until he gets in his final phase🙂

If you notice your damage is low. Then upgrade your base damage mods and instal those. Aka, Serration for primary, Hornet strike for secondary and Pressure point for melee. If you have a lot of mod capacity left afterwards, go for multishot mods if you have those. If not, instal elemental mods. I saw another comment explaining which to use against every faction.

The orokin reactors/catalysts double your mod capacity for either your frames or weapons respectively. Once you get the better mods and upgrade them you will need these!.... A lot

If you want to level stuff quicker, have fewer weapons equipped. XP is divided amongst your equipped weapons. Starting at 100%, 25% always go to the Warframe(even if it is max level) with the small caveat that enemies killed by just Warframe abilities have all the gained XP go to the Warframe. The remaining 75% is split evenly between weapons(even if a weapon is max level, it still takes XP). If you bring just the Warframe and a single weapon, that weapon will get that full 75%. Sanctuary Onslaught is probably the best way to level your gear up. It is accessible through the menu in the navigation console, under Syndicate, or by asking Cephalon Simaris about it at a relay.

If you wanna beat Vey Hek I would suggest getting the Hek shotgun. Not only for the irony, but because it's also pretty good. Also for leveling i recommend spy missions, hacking a vault without getting caught gives a lot of affinity.

As for leveling your weapons and warframes, my advice would be Saturn Helene Defence, run it on Public, take only one weapon at a time to level it faster as even maxed ranked weapons, warframes and companions/sentinels will siphon affinity/exp from you. If you have an affinity booster and a full public squad you can max a weapon in roughly 10 waves, 15 if you get carried by your squad.

Whats weird is the best way to level up is to be in a team as you get shared affinity in a 50m range, so team mates get the xp for you its a weird system. And the best node to farm is probably hydron on sedna its a defence thats a small tile set with mid level enemies so you get good xp and because its the community favourite there is always an open squad on it

Final thing: -Please for the love if God open crates and caches! Just smash boxes bro. I was playing today and it made me realise that you didn't open any crates or boxes as you were gaming or just walking around you could be opening crates and get:Ayatan stars (to put into Ayatan sculptures), more money, more mods, more resources etc. -2: have fun with the game. Try events. Go off the beaten path a bit (just a bit but no open world stuff).

For leveling i would recommend: Sanctuary Onslaught (Warframes) Elite Sanctuary Onslaught (Weapons anything other than Warframes ;D) Another good option would be Hydron on Sedna For all leveling locations i would recommend playing in multiplayer. Or you can just level them as you play. Do whatever is more fun for you :D As you get higher mastery rank it gets easier as you can use more mod capacity without having to level up the equipment first. Love your vids btw. its great seeing you have so much fun with the game ^^

from a farming standpoint the defense on saturn is honestly better than hydron. reaching max lvl on wave 7 or wave 9 doesnt make a diffrence since you still extract at wave 10 anyway, and you get better loot on saturn

If you want to level up faster, do sanctuary onslaught, you have to complete the new strange quest. It relies on other players killing everything for you but you just need to get your item to lvl 20 without reviving then you can leave because bonus affinity will get you the final 10 lvls.

As you mastery rank up it'll become a little easier to rank up your weapons and warframes since your base mod capacity scales with your mastery. For example a mastery rank 30 player has all 30 drain or 60 with a reactor/catalyst available at level 0

Hi Lloydy, enjoying this play through so far and has been amazing to watch. I do Just to want to let you know how important elemental damage is. For example your Fulmin is dealing electric damage. If you added infected clip to your fulmin, you will start dealing corrosive damage (two elements combine) Corrosive is very effective against most grineer enemies due to their health type being “ferrite armour”

Helena on saturn is personally my favorite for leveling weapons do 10 rounds and extract rinse and repeat or get a affinity booster and finish it in the 1st run😊

extractors are pretty handy specially in the early grind for resources, you can build 2 types of extractors, the regular you can put in any planet you have completed all nodes, you can see the list of resources by rarity, they are good to accumulate polymer bundles and those easy to get resources and ocasionally net you rare ones. The second model (distilling extractor) supposedly has a higher chance to get you a rare resource but it takes 8 hrs. for a full trip, they take damage while collecting so build a couple to rotate, you can own as much as you want but you can only deploy 1 plus another every 4 or 5 mastery ranks, i believe you can put up to 4 at at the most. The important part about them is that you can deploy them from the warframe app, so you can farm while not even playing, the app also allows you to claim and build from the foundry, change loadout and general acces to news.

Really enjoying following along with your playthrough!!! If you like shotguns I'd recommend the Hek, as it's one of the best early game ones you can get (Blueprint in the market). Other good primaries I enjoyed early on include the Vectis (high damage sniper) and the Soma (large magazine AR). At this point in the game I"d suggest finding a weapon of each type that you like, and investing a little bit into their modding. It's great to level different weapons for mastery, but soon you might find you need something with a bit of oomph. Not to tell you waht to do, but based on your playstyle it looks like you use warframes as weapons platforms, more so than casting lots of abilities. I could be wrong, but if I"m right I'd suggest these frames: Nezha (comes from the Tenno Lab in a Dojo, you'll need a clan), Revenant (comes from the Plains of Eidolon bounties), Rhino (comes from Jackal bossfight), Gauss (comes from Disruption missions - probably best to wiki this one), Wisp (you already have) or Harrow (comes from a quest you're getting towards). Just some suggestions for you based on my experience! Please keep up the content, it's awesome to see someone new enjoying this game as much as I do :)

From now on the plot will skyrocket, so buckle up and put on a helmet. Also, i'd recomment you try all the other warframes you got during the stream. Just play some random nodes with them. At this point you're already supposed to be using other warframes by game design, remember that once where u are were the endgame, so you'd already be hoarding warframes. Just play around with them taking tips from the chat on stream so you can find your playstyle, you'll see that the playstyle changes a lot from warframe to warframe. For a quick rundown: some warframes work in favor of your guns, some warframes work in favor of your melee, and some work around their own skills, so whatever you slap on them will work. The moment you start exploring the skills with modding and such, you'll literally go from a soldier to a God

If you want to level things up quickly you can look at the recruitment chat to see if anybody is running hydron on a Sedna. It’s a harder mission but if you have teammates who can clear it you can max all of your equipment in 20-25 waves and 10-15 if you have an affinity booster
