Just get a wingsuit dedicated canopy if your current main is a high performance wing, this will give you peace of mind. Worrying about deployment will hind your progression. When I started wingsuiting I bought an old and well used Triathlon 160. My other main was an Xfire2 129 (for the freefly jumps) which ended up collecting dust since wingsuiting became my main discipline. I did jump the Xfire many times with the wingsuit without issues but I just flew better when I knew the Tri160 was on my back.

this is exactly how my wingsuit progression went. very first jump i stalled the wing and ended up on my back. 2nd jump got scared and pulled at like 8k. now im like 70 flights in and wingsuiting is the only thing i do now.

Awesome man, I really like your honesty about it all such as a bit of stress and technical difficulty. People outside skydiving think that we have a death wish but not at all, as long as you know what you need to know in an emergency situation it's fairly safe. Keep sharing your honest opinion, long story short a girl at my DZ dropped her AFF program because she felt not good at all. I tried to explain to her that I was dog shit too, and that gonna take some time to feel comfortable. But coming from someone more experienced like you, it's definitely more legit. Keep it up !

I rented that wingsuit, it was included in the fee for the course with Dan. Wing suits range from $750 - $1,800 depending on what model you get. I have a video going over my skydiving gear on my channel but do not feel knowledgeable enough to go over wingsuit specific gear. I will in the future though when I have more experience.

Top of my bucket list. I barely got into freefly when I stopped skydiving. I like freefly, not at all good at it yet, waiting to get current on my license, pass the 200 jump mark (only 4 jumps) and start looking at wingsuiting. What do you attribute the spins and wobbles too? Bad body position? Too much arch, not enough arch, imbalanced "stance", something else?

Too much arch. I was not flat enough. Shoulders should be curved down. Slight de arch like a track jump.

@@SalvadorChangg - I love tracking dives so that is good. I don't think I can 100% use my normal flat track - which is a rocket compared to how I originally learned. If you get into a track position then rotate your thumbs down, in, then up it forces your shoulders to cup. I don't think the wing suit grips would let me do that though. :)
