Great story. I, too have a hard time understanding why a daughter in law is not considered family..is this part of Japanese tradition?. Also for the newly weds to live with his parents? Just not right.

"Only REAL family..." So, just how is a spouse supposed to be a blood relative or direct family member to make these 'real families?' NOTE: a lot of inconsistencies/editing needs in the story. Big one at 19:00. "Son won't have any of this when he finds out what you've done..." Uhm.. if you married a month ahead of what MIL knows as the date, then WHY wouldn't he know what his bride has done? 27:39, "cease to bother Andrew and himself..."
