Welcome to a first look at MidJourney! MidJourney is a mind-blowing AI image generation program that converts text prompts into insane works of art. In this video, I show how MidJourney works, and ask my discord to come up with some crazy ideas to throw at it and see what happens!

on the one at 18:55, i like imagining that it's actually a giant meteor shower of massive nokia phones, with the explosions being caused by ones that just landed and the intact phone being one that's about to land on the city in the background feels pretty accurate to the prompt in that interpretation

I'm gonna be honest, when I found your channel a couple years ago as it kept showing up in my recommended I thought you were so annoying and hated that you came up. But I kept clicking on your videos and found myself finishing them and eventually enjoying them. I have no idea what I felt annoyed at you for at this point and I think my past self was stupid for that judgement. Ai’s like this I find are good at rendering as though things were in games, I had a prompt based off of a fleet of tanks and the ai rendered it like civ 6 and actually specifying “Mars as a faction in “Sid Meier’s Civilisation VI” got a lovely result with domes arranged in a grid and a map that actually mimics civ terrain

Day 97 of letting y'all ask me a few questions about the interesting subject known as "The music that ScrapMan has used". Simply ask me a question that relates to the music he uses like " What's the name of the music he typically uses in his building cut montages? (The answer for that one is usually "Colonel Bogey March" by U.S Coast Guard Band by the way) by leaving a timestamp or a description of the music you're looking for or whatever honestly. I also have a playlist that contains a whole gold mine of the music he uses and additional information on the music he uses.

@ScrapMan 5:48 you should try to get your hands on DALL-E 2, I had the chance to have an access to it, and that thing about proportions is the first difference I noticed between Midjourney and DALL-E. I never could get a real looking car with midjourney, Proportions and perspective are always weird, but images are somewhat beautiful and abstract, whereas Dall-e handles the proportions and perspective quite nicely, but it feels like some times its harder to get it to do what you want, but it is very impressive Edit : Oh and you should try doing more variations with midjourney, my best results were often after a few generations of variations, like doing variation of variations of variations, some missing stuff on the first generation did appear on one of the variations which allowed me to "guide" the AI toward what I wanted from variation to variation, and end up changing prompt like after 4 or 5 variations if nothing good came out.

Regardless, I've been getting amazing results using prompts with scientific words phrased in interesting ways, so for example: "corroded cells dissipating", or "tectonic toxin seeping into the minerals", or "a thermonuclear virus buried in permafrost", or "quantum synergy". Try these out and then come up with some of your own. It's great fun. Also, you would be surprised what it does with the letters of the greek alphabet, like "alpha", "tau", "pi" etc..
