My boyfriend has a 1990 fox body convertible that is all original with matching #'s it's not tore up inside and not all beat up and rusted out with a clean title, Lot of people have tried to buy it for that very reason and he won't sell it for that very fact, he says it's soon to be a collectors item, being a fox body for 1, & 2 it's a convertible that's complete !

AFR 220's are a lot of head for that Windsor,(imo).I got into the 9's in my old Fox body with a set of 205's on a 408 Windsor,but it was a bit too rowdy for the street.Great content,watching y'all bang the gears in a Fox body really brings back fond memories!

We ran 10.33 @ 133 with a mild turbo 331/TKO in a 93 LX weighing 2980 empty. Thank you Billy and Molly for keeping one Mustang nice with Ford power, beautiful car to be cutting up and putting a roll cage in but rather see a 6pt in it if something should happen at 130mph than not

My little brother has a Cobra and he shows it and goes to the race way same deal too nice for full time race cars. Impressive enough leave it at that sweet clean mean race street machine.

In case U hadn't noticed before, that Mustang has been running around on slicks for practically the entire time that Molly has owned her. But you're right, it does need a different clutch & pressure plate in it....one that she can feather, instead of being "all in, or all out" (& then throw on a pair of slicks, & prepare for some 9.50 passes) !!

@@chriscatarcio2983 Did you just compare a state of the art Liberty clutchless 5 speed in a completely sorted, top of the N/A food chain race car, that changes it's rear and transmission gears to meet track and atmospheric conditions constantly.....not to mention the mountain of data used to adjust an infinitely adjustable (base/counter) clutch package, to the trans/clutch combo in this Mustang??? In what country does a stock, or super stock stick car have to weigh 200 more pounds than an automatic combination in the same class designation??? I used to crew on an 8sec super stock car and there was no such rule that we knew of. If that Mustang had a 3 speed auto with lightweight internals and an 8in converter that flashed around 900 to 1000rpm below peak horsepower, while dropping about 800rpm between shifts, it would be quicker than the combination currently in the car. Wouldn't be as much fun to drive, but definitely more consistent and quicker.

I say definitely listen to the boyfriend on this one. He's right, it's hard to find a solid fox that hasn't been cut up. Get a ragamuffin turd and "polish" it with fiberglass panels and lexan windows and cage that instead. You'll miss your street car otherwise.

I loved it when, back in '73, my girl would take my '69 428 SCJ Mach 1 and beat the big block GM guys that were always calling me out !! That was real street racing back then !! Keep it up you two. It was bought as a mystery car with no knowledge of anything from the previous owner. When the cash flow allows, ww're hoping to build a 408 Windsor for it. He has the sought-after '69 Windsor 4 bbl. small chamber heads that have already been done, good springs, screw-in studs and guide plates, SVO roller rockers. I'd like to find a short block already done, and bolt those heads on it and go. He has a 7 qt. Moroso pan, and main stud girdle also. Air gap intake manifold, Holley 750 double pumper carb. with the 4 corner idle, complete nitrous plate system, and MSD dist. and 6al box. So we just need a good block and rotating assembly. I'd much rather go turbo than nitrous because it's much easier on the internals, but also prohibitively expensive. Anyway, good to hear there's another Ford fan here in this corner of the world. N.H. Mustlecars season opener car show at the Deeefield Fairgrounds is I think the 3rd weekend in May, Fri., Sat., Sun.. it was good last fall, a good see.
