It's WORKERS WEDNESDAY AGAIN! Lots of stuff developed during a 9 hour stream last week. The build cam experiment was interesting. Might do it again in the future (not this week though).

That live stream was amazing I watched it while recovering from pneumonia so kept an eye on it for 9hrs for a while I thought it crashed may need to verify that maybe but just love the content Charlie I hope you enjoyed time with your daughter kids can really touch the heart strings at times look forward to even more awesome vids

Hey Charlie. Have you had a look at the underground parking lot mod. Will work nicely in the high density areas.

Last I checked, it doesn't work with the new driving/parking ruleset for vehicles, so only one vehicle would be able to move within it at a time. This means they would basically act like the boarder connections - and would cause long lines going into them

Charlie, in your testing to fix frame-rates and such. Did it all basically break down to traffic/nodes? Like what happens if you turn off 'Fire' (you so developed they are a non-issue now). And yes, the 'delete no delete oh Im just going to delete for you messing with me' is annoying. I just kill realistic and pay to fix it (figure its a bug, not a feature)

There’s just a point where this engine doesn’t process pathing for citizens and vehicles well. I believe I’ve hit a tipping point between playability and not, so that running at fast speeds leads to basically not being able to “play” at the same time. So when I’m playing now, and putting things in place, I’m either paused or in 1x speed now. I think once Charlybinsk North is operational, and we start looking at putting in the airport with 75K pop in place… we’ll probably reach a point when I can only watch the game at real time even. I’ll have to pause to do any decent experience with clicking. Improving this performance is not likely on the agenda for the dev. It’s a custom engine, and that’s likely just the limit in what they’ve designed. I hope I’m wrong about that.

@@CharliePryor Thx for info and yeah; per what Ive seen of them talking it aint going to be fixed. And its a fleshed out game and Im happy with my 800+ hours, enjoyed since you brought me on back before even water was a thing lol, stating this before next comment. They done with this title... still slight tweaks but you can see they ready for it to Alpha and be a 1-2 dev on side for tweaks project. The horrendous bugs after months of nothing (yes they fixed them in a couple weeks but still I dont recall such a nasty bug combo release in past) is telling. Again LOVE the game and will keep playing (and deep hope they/someone will build a better version in a few years) but they moved onto to their next projects for sure. Also LOVE how I have researched and learned so much of Soviet Union per this game. Ya know you doing well when Ive probably put in 800 hours OUTSIDE the game learning real history per mechanics of the game AND awesome content creators like yourself and Bballjo and the others who push the engine/scape so well

Anyone else a bit more then curious if the Giant HOUSE and Giant HOSPITAL are both going to turn out to need their own, dedicated, Heat Plants and Water/Sewer/1KW+ support?

I'm worried about that... but I'll be ready to expand heating infrastructure to accommodate it if needed. There will be one more heating plant put in for the tourist areas as well as the little village I'm making for nuclear power. Perhaps I'll pull some of that capacity away from that (even though it'll be far away and need a pump)

@@CharliePryor Part of the fun in truth. Learned a few builds ago never go SMALLEST pipe for sewer/water -even if you never think youll need more. Kept getting too much for the pipes to deal with and caused a headache to replace per already built infrastructure. lol WR things
