Very nice video indeed. Like others I was wondering where this was and looking at the few words was thinking maybe Turkey, but then wondered: is this landscape Turkish? Apparently Hungary? The tracks are very good compared to some of the others that I have seen, the line is probably not that old, looking at the motive power. If it were really old there would be steam on the tracks, especially in Eastern Europe. Nice video!

The gauge is 760mm, it covers up to a 25 square kilometeres, it relies on wood transporting vagons,sometimes called „Lóré”. It uses C50 diesels and has a steam engine with the numbers 490 2003 ,named „Rezét”. It terminates at Gemenc, a small village near the Danube.

Hi, We had a great logging railway in BC Canada on Vancouver Island. Unfortunately a few years ago there was a bad accident with multiple loss of life and it was permanently shut down. If you want to check out some videos from when it was running search for "Englewood Division" logging railway. It was unique and worked for quite a while.

In the railroad industry they are known as Diesel mechanical with a manual transmission like you would have in a truck very unusual except for a small railroad. I suspect they use the steam locomotive for the tourists trains.
