If they can make a hotswappable version with no switches or keycaps come in at a much lower price than the Q2 they could have a serious contender. The alu top and plastic base is a compromise I can absolutely live with.

@@90kPing I realise my comment was poorly worded. I mean CM would have a contender on their hands, not that one doesn't exist. That said the QK is currently a group buy which means it's not really vying for the same market as the Q2 or this. If they get a line of stock, then sure.

Bought this keyboard a month ago. I can honestly say I'm so glad to have gotten it! The pre-lubed stems was a great touch straight out of the box. I swapped out the original keycaps for white PBT keycaps so it sounds really great! I would highly recommend this keyboard especially for FPS players since the size is ideal plus the switches are pretty smooth.

hi betty!! im zeniyu! i was recently inspired by YOU to make my own custom keyboard. i have been using my crusty, dusty, musty logitech MEMBRANE keyboard. when i first heard the THOCK, the POP, and the CLICKYCLACKCLACK of the despicable blues, i thought the sounds were heavenly compared to my rattle filled membrane. i just finished my keyboard built with akko vintage whites and this $150 budget keeb was like music to my ears. in short, thanks for inspiring me to make my very own first custom keeb.

"The only thing holding it back is it's not hot-swappable." I saw that comment coming a mile away. It literally has everything but hot-swap. I'm also not too excited about the switch choices; really odd to me. I almost feel like they chose those switches to lower costs. I would love a hot-swap, barebones version of this at a lower price. Otherwise, it's a great keyboard. I have Cooler Master's macro pad, and it's great.

While I haven't used this particular keyboard, I have had two Cooler Master keyboards, both a Masterkeys 104 and one of the models with Gaterons. Both of them had issues with the USB cable. The one with Gaterons had a cable that was not detachable and it started disconnecting and reconnecting regularly, I had to scavenge a USB cable from an old mouse to fix it. The Masterkeys had a detachable cable and the port ended up detaching from the PCB on the interior because the port was only mounted to the PCB and not to the case itself in any way, so moving the keyboard around caused stress on the port and it ended up failing. So if you get this one, you may want to open it up and check to see how the port is mounted, if it's not mounted to the case, a bit of hot glue might save you some trouble in the future. Another thing to note is that the keycaps on every CM keyboard I've owned have been the lowest tier disposable trash with legends that turn into peeling blobs on WSAD in a matter of weeks. No big deal if you're going to replace them anyway, but something to keep in mind. All that being said, they aren't the worst keyboards I've used and if you're handy with a soldering iron all the issues I mentioned are easily fixed. I did like the software. IDK if this keyboard has software or if it's entirely on the keyboard, but if it does come with software it's one of the better control panels I've used. They do have a nice aesthetic that isn't overly 'gamer' and this one looks pretty nice since it's not floating keycaps.

But the 120$ Price tag is laughable for this unit, doesn't even have hot-swap... are we back in 2016 ? For Those who are looking for a hot swap 2.4ghz keeb that's gonna last for week without charging look for [RK G68] not the regular RK68 version.

Nice to see cooler master making smaller layouts. I actually have their ck530 v2 tenkeyless which I modded as much as I could with some foam and keycaps. Even put o rings on the keycaps which I wouldn't usually do but it was the only other addition I could think of since the open design with the metal case was pretty "pingy" by default. It has the same red switches as this one with the led on top. It sounds about as nice as I can make it but having hotswappable switches would be the real change that would benefit these boards. I'd love to be able to fit some holy pandas or gateron black inks on one of these. it's a pretty nice design though and a step in the right direction. If they could just make a hotswappable version I think I'd be sold! Mine came with the same wrist rest too, I really don't like them but hey, it's free I guess haha
