I think we as a community of fans need to find a way to find Garrett legitimate help. I appreciate the use of humor and enthusiasm as a coping mechanism, but it is getting out of hand. making silly food is one thing, but going into the woods and having an episode is a different issue all together. I'm glad he concluded the video in such a way, but the journey was disconcerting.
@mrahzzz2 жыл бұрын
@@ericforeman6372 Eh, honestly, the important thing with him as a creator is to recognize the amount of dramatization, acting, and completely fabricated situations he works into his videos. It's more a bit than it is reality, ya know? I think a lot of this (and everything he makes) was a video for fun, with a bit of a real message at the end ("don't avoid life because it's uncomfortable. It often won't help. We have to just face hard shit sometimes"). His job is making entertaining content, and he fits it well into his own schtick and niche of comedy. You have to suspend reality a bit when watching him. I'd be surprised if Garrett, as the director, editor, and producer creating these videos, legitimately believes Garrett, the human as a character in these videos, completely himself ;) He's hilarious and enjoys just being a little crazy and absurd with the humor, but there is a bit of a character going on here - most youtubers are putting on even a bit of a persona when they're on camera.

For anyone who may have missed Garrett’s disclaimer - DO NOT ACTUALLY DO THIS. What he did (at least as he presented it) is incredibly dangerous. If you are going to go out into the wilderness, you need to make sure people know where you are going and when you plan to come back. You need to have water (or a way to filter water), food (or know how to forage), shelter, a way to maintain your body temperature, sufficient first aid, and a way to navigate. Ideally, you will also have a way to communicate if you’re going into the back country. Additionally, you should always abide by the Leave No Trace principles (so definitely don’t leave a trail of cookies for a bear to both become accustomed to people food as well as to have an easy way to find you while you sleep). I know this was more for entertainment than anything, but the amount of times people get lost and need SAR or die from doing this same kind of thing without proper supplies, planning, and experience is far too high. Absolutely, get out into nature and experience that freedom and peace, but do it safely and in a way that won’t leave a negative impact on nature.

Okay this might be a stretch, but I don’t know if you’ve noticed that tea lady has disappeared. I feel like this represents Garrett’s growth and he’s started putting himself down less which he was partially doing in his videos through tea lady. And that makes me so happy.
@GabrielGonzalez-ib4lc3 жыл бұрын
Or he killed the tea lady and was hiding in the woods to lay low and hide the tea lady body
@bayleetheservicebear3 жыл бұрын
@@GabrielGonzalez-ib4lc that’s also extremely plausible. Maybe the bathroom spider was an alibi
