Alright I'm at over 9000 hours in Rust and I'm pretty sure of something: Sometimes the AI is hyped up on science-roids, and sometimes they are slacking off. My theory is the server has some kind of random seed imagine it's a number between 0 - 1, if it's 1 they have perfect aim, if it's 0 they are storm troopers.. NORMALLY you land somewhere closer to 0.5 and so NPCs are "average" But sometimes the server's closer to a 1, and then the NPCs just friggin' shred they don't miss a single shot. Other times the server's closer to a 0 and you can walk straight up to their face and sword them in the head. But USUALLY they're normal and not one of those extremes. It's very strange.
