I think my favorite line having to do with Angel was at the funeral and they were telling their favorite stories about her. I loved the one about her confronting that guy and going "I'm more a man than you'll ever me and more woman than you'll ever get." I laughed so loud at that...man, I love her character.

I think the name "I'll Cover You" is an amazing name for the song. Not only does it initially say "I will be there for you financially", but it could denote their sexuality (like bed covers/"covering" one another) as well as tie into Angel's death (covering/burying a loved one). Rent is a brilliant adaptation of La Bohème imho.

I saw the movie, before any stage recordings. At first watch, I was a little surprised by this song. I just figured Angel was generally flirty with anyone. In the movie, I didn't really get that Collins was that into her. I forgave the movie quickly, though, because how adorable are these two? When I later caught up with a Broadway recording, and they met in the street, the "An angel, indeed" line happened. They're not just a thing. They're everything.
