I'll Fly Away - Cover by Megan Miller

For those of you who do not know, I lost my best friend last August and sang (attempted) this song at his funeral. After recent events in our world, I was inspired to release my version of "I'll Fly Away.". It heals me and I hope it helps you find a little bit of peace during whatever you are going through.

Literally brought a 32 year old man to tears. I heard this song once as a kid and it’s stuck with me ever since. There’s so many fast versions but I find the more the song gets slowed down the more it just speaks to my soul. Thank you for honoring this song with this version 🥹

One of my first memories is my mom playing this song on her guitar. She had a beautiful Epiphone J-200 in Tobacco Sunburst finish she bought new in 1973. She traded an ovation and a car and still paid $2500 cash. Till the day I die, no guitar will ever sound better. We used to play and sing this song a lot together after I learned how to play. Tomorrow (Feb 2) would have been her 68th Birthday. She shuffled off this mortal coil on Feb 8, 2022.
