Because this was inevitably fated to happen...
You can't be part of a music band that has a song called "King", then play a character in The Witcher that falls in love with a Prince that becomes King, without someone eventually combining the two (wouldn't be surprised if others had, too; but I just haven't stumbled across any of those other videos yet).
So, I guess this is yet another humble tribute to Jaskier and Radovid's relationship on the show (there's a lot of those happening on my channel lately); this time focusing a bit more on the dangers these two are facing (and might continue having to face) together and apart this season, and the way that Jaskier's love and influence is having a protective effect on Radovid.
Often, children being raised in highly toxic and manipulative environments don't realize there's something "wrong" with the way people relate to each other in that world - despite feeling instinctively uneasy and out of place - until they meet someone from outside their own family system that they strongly establish a genuine honest, healthy emotional bond with, that manages to show them what a genuine, sincere, unconditionally loving relationship actually is.
And it's been a pure joy watching Radovid's character development... Watching him feeling safe enough around Jaskier to slowly start opening up to him, and reconsidering the direction he wishes to give to his life and the kind of relationships he wants to have with people.
Only, of course, to have it all be horribly taken away from him by Philippa; but, you know! Still great character development, and enjoyable relationship to watch evolve and grow regardless!
Note: In relation to the song itself, I also found it somewhat amusing that a "Sandpiper" is a shorebird... Not EXACTLY a seabird per say, but close enough!
