Ehhhh?? As a viewer of the anime who was only recently picking up on the manga, I remember how disappointed I was with the actual source material. It didnt even live up to what the anime depicted. 1:09 how does this exactly feel like a hollow husk? I feel like this is just unbiased prejudice towards anime again. Manga readers just have impossible standards that they always like to raise even further no matter what the anime achieves just to put themselves on a pedestal. Disgusting.

Back. I read the manga. All of it. And i still disagree. There's so many of you manga readers that just like to place your beloved series on a pedestal such that, no matter what, you guys find something to complain about. I can vouch, the manga was great, the anime adapted it well. Sure, some of the nuance of the art and the details couldnt be included so that the first season ends on the exam results, but it still covered the important developments for all the characters introduced. Those kinds of readers deserve the fate of Sanada, yall are disgusting and disrespectful to the efforts of the studios that bless us with these adaptations.

Yeah, I agree. Anime is still decent, but something about it just feels kinda... off. I think the manga's panels were way more striking. Like, Yatora seeing Mori's painting in the anime didn't even feel like that big of a deal. But in the original, it feels like a bombshell, even if it is just a painting. Not a bad adaptation imo, but certainly not a great one, either.
