Floyd signs of being punched drunk are really beginning to manifest more each year. I noticed this happening around maidana time. Then, later in the interview, he kept stuttering and struggling to get his simple sentence out. He recently did an interview where he actually addressed his potential brain damage but pretty much shrugged it off, saying oh well he built generational wealth for his kids. Now this conversation with Bill you can really see his punch drunk speech. I think Floyd is conscious of it too, and has tried combating his now punch drunk speech impediment by practicing talking slower and restarting his sentence if he shows sign of stuttering and mispronouncing words, in an attempt to mask his brain damage. Boxing is great and all, but even being undefeated and a master defender, all those head shots catch up to you. Everything comes at a cost.

The mental warfare behind this whole bout is insane when you think about it. Mayweather might as well have orchestrated Devins defeat. Tells Ryan to come in overweight, therefore Devin doesnt have to risk losing his belts but behind that idea is Devin not fighting for his belts anymore. On top of that it gives him this idea that Ryan isnt serious enough about the fight AND Ryan pays 1.5 mil so subliminally he keeps his belts and hes already paid. Loses just enough motivation for Ryan to catch him slippin. Mayweather also sparred Devin before and so it was said that Devin mightve got the best of him regardless of the fact that Floyd had already sparred multiple rounds prior to sparring Devin. Im sure Floyd spent ALOT of time contemplating on mistakes made in the ring that day and wouldnt be surprised if he gave just enough ingredients added on to the experience Ryan already has against Devin to pull off the W.
