Genuinely one of the most depression inducing endings in video game history. I felt sad for like 2 weeks after playing this for the first time many years ago.

Same. For me, it was the first game i played where the game ends with the main character dying so it caught me offguard. I also probably felt like crap for around 2 weeks

Not until the last couples of minutes I really believed that there wasn't going to be a magical life saving solution for Lee and the second the idea sunk in I felt dead. Emma, you just have to go all the way with this series...

And the I guess interlude episode between seasons 1 and 2, 400 Days is pretty important. Maybe give it a few weeks though until after the holidays. Season 2 isn't exactly holiday cheer inducing either LOL

The tragedy of Ben’s backstory gets revealed in this chapter if you kept him alive. He snaps when Kenny gets mad at him and says that at least Kenny got to say goodbye to his family. Ben never learned what happened to his parents or little sister cause he had to go on the school trip before the outbreak. Tragic stuff. With Ben alive, the balcony breaks when you’re jumping roofs and Ben gets impaled with walkers closing in on him. Kenny sacrifices himself and puts Ben out of his misery before they can get to him which feels like a better arch for Kenny’s character considering the other chapters.

Its funny. Even after all these years, no matter how many times I play or watch this episode and no matter that I already KNOW what’s gonna happen, it still hits me. I’ve been a fan of this game since it came out, I basically grew up with Clem (first season I was 10 while she was 8, last season I was 17-18 while she was 16). So Ive grown very attached to this game, Clem and all the characters.

Even now im STILL seeing new dialogue for good old kenny. Hearing his small speech about not giving up even when things get hard makes me even more firm in my stance that saving ben is the canon choice, gives it a whole new meaning when he uses a gun that was used to give up during a hard time to selflessly sacrifice himself to make sure ben didnt turn, even after everything that happened. @@torifreeman6410 One is dying of a bite and you're putting them out of their mysery. And the other you're literally watching them get beat to death right in front of you and you cannot stop them. As well as the other scene in part one where you watch an innocent child get shot and watch a father have to hold his child helplessly has she dies in pain in his arms. Yeah; not at all similar scenes. This was sad because we grew close to lee but it wasn't the at the same level of sadness as the other game.

Everyone who cuts off lees arm don’t know that it’s pointless to do that. If you do that to survive the bite it has to be immediately after the bite. Which it’s clear that it’s been at least 1-2 hours since he’s been bitten. The virus has already spread. So cutting off his arm just makes lees final hours worse but you also miss out on the bad ass glass scene

Great playthrough, Emma! You did well, there goes another victim of Telltale’s first season 😅 But the real adventure starts just now, it is Clem’s journey only right now and everything you are going to see and witness in the next seasons (especially S2 ) will change everyone. I’d like to think about the first season as a prologue for what’s about to happen to Clem in the future because almost everything will consist and be built around her character changing her completely and that thanks to Lee, what an awesome character he was 😔 I’ll always get teary eyed! Very emotional ending. I know you had said you always wanted to play so I'm really glad you had a chance to. If you decide to continue some day, the DLC "400 Days" is technically next. It's about an hour and a half long but it is not essential so up to you. There's also some other great Telltales like "The Wolf Among Us" and "Tales From The Borderlands" if you're ever interested. This is a game that continuously pulls decisions out of you based on your genuine feelings. It's difficult to make choices that are not based on your heart. Even when you go for the practical option, your conscience can gnaw at you. So when you get to the ending and the culmination of all these heartfelt decisions, I think your heart is open and vulnerable. This is easily one of my favourite games of all time. The only reason I can watch the ending with dry eyes is because I've seen so many people get there over the years. And even if the eyes are dry, I still have the feelings. Thank you for letting yourself be open and vulnerable while playing it. One of the things I love about your channel is that even when you're glib and making jokes, the emotional honesty shines through. That's a hard thing to do. And as good as this game is, that ending must have been hard too. I'm glad you made it.

It’s still one of the saddest and hardest deaths ever. This game is one of the greatest games of all time and will always be one of my favorites. Also if u remember the scene where Lee was talking to Clem he says “And one more thing.” But he doesn’t finish it I thought he was out of breath maybe from the bite, but someone told me that it was because Lee was going to tell Clementine I love u, but I guess it got removed and instead they decided Lee wanted to say it, but he thought it was too soon since she just discovered that both her mother and father died so it wasn’t the right moment for him to say that. People even said when they played it with captions if choose one of the choices “I’ll miss u” or that particular moment I mentioned that the subtitle’s says “I Love u” instead I miss u 1:20:25
