After two parents had to bury two of their children, after a pastor was about ready to throw in the towel, God moved in their hearts to worship Him in prayer. May this song I wrote to encourage them encourage you, too.

I understand your discouragement. My parents were missionaries in Australia for 36 years, a similarly difficult place, very secular culture with people so indifferent to the gospel, and even believers often distracted by worldly pleasures. They would get so discouraged sometimes. Eventually though, they realized that God was at work in Australia, and you could see progress as you looked back over the years of ministry. I pray you will find that to be the case as well.

Thank you for making this great music it's been very encouraging in my walk with the Lord. I grew up being told about God every once in a while but we never went to church outside of Christmas and Easter and I didn't really know what it meant to be saved but last spring I was saved after about 6 months of listening to some good old fashioned bible preaching at a church a co worker invited me to. I continued to listen to the worldly music and vulgar language didn't phase me early on and I think that being so de sensitized to the world was hurting my relationship with him early on. Lately I've looked back and seen that after a few months of listening to only bluegrass gospel, your music, and a few other styles, that I have finally rid myself of any desire to go back to listening to anything that doesn't lift up God and sing about and praise him and my prayer life has become consistent and my walk has become easier now that I've filtered out the world and started to live more like a Christian should, I can't say it's all just the music I listen too it's a lot of things including preaching, prayer, new job and friends, but man I've gotta say listening o good music sure helps. I know that five finger death punch and dubstep wouldn't help my walk with the Lord in fact it would hurt it in the long run. So I'm thankful for the people like you that make the music that I enjoy so much. It seriously helps to much to put some stuff like this on my mini Bluetooth speaker while I'm at work, driving, showering, anywhere really. Thanks for the encouragement.

Beautiful song with a heaven-inspired message! So true. What sound sets are you using for your orchestral backings? I can hear the piano's real and the guitar is real, but what about the strings, percussion, oboe and etc? They're either extremely well done samples or they are real lol

Good ear! I use Native Instruments' Alicia's Keys piano. I use East West Quantum Leap orchestral products for everything else in this track.

Benjamin Everson Yeah, for some reason, the Lord has given me an extremely good ear for that stuff, even with playing by ear and writing music. I just try and honor Him with it. EastWest has such a fantastic set of instruments! I hope one day to afford their whole Symphonic Orchestra set, but until then....well, yah know lol

So what do you use and how do you create your orchestrations?

Benjamin Everson I use a combination of samples by the London Symphony Orchestra native to Notion 5 by PreSonus and a bunch of free plugins and VST instruments I've come across. I'm very picky about the way my strings sound lol. The set I've found is decent when grouped with a couple other strings to give that lush sound. Basically, I have words in my head (either sparked by a message at church or in my devotions, normally) and I mentally create a melody. Then after I solidify the words and create a solid melody that remains in my brain, I then use a template I created with all of my plugins and instruments, and I create an orchestration by ear. I sit and I write and rewrite note by note at my CPU. I've never been able to midi it out on a keyboard. Sometimes I'll dub live piano in my tracks too, from time to time.

But as he read in the Bible, page after page, His heart was convinced to stay in the Race. He knelt by his desk, then lay on the floor. "Tho' I don't understand what it's for, I'll trust one day more." I'll pray again, I'll kneel again. I'll knock on the door, askin' for more. Strength for the fight, peace in the night. Trusting by faith, the answer He'll send. I'll pray again..." At a quarter past two, Again in the morning, A mother wakes up again. Her youngest daughter has a special condition, They say that she wont pass ten. Tho' worries so great, and nothings changed, "Does God understand us at all?" We're out of answers and we're feeling small. But as she read in the Bible page after page, The comfort came in right along with grace. Her hand held her daughter and they knelt on the floor. "Tho' we don't understand what it's for, We'll trust one day more." We'll pray again, we'll kneel again. We'll knock on the door, askin' for more. Strength for the fight, peace in the night. Trusting by faith, the answer he'll send. We'll pray again... When the darkness surrounds you, And God seems so silent, Your back's against the wall. You may be tempted to doubt Gods goodness, It feels like, He won't hear your call. The questions take shape and cloud your mind. "Is God in control after all? My life's out of balance and I'm going to fall." But as you read in the Bible page after page, You'll see that He's there, and he'll never forsake. Surrender your life is all you must do. You begin to see God's point of view, He's there to change you. You'll pray again, go kneel again. Go knock on the door, askin' for more. Strength for the fight, peace in the night. Trusting by faith, the answer He'll send. You'll pray again.
