❝I'll protect the Queen❞ Kim Byeong In | Mr Queen

I think Kim Byeong In was a complex character. I was sitting on the fence from episode 1-18. I wasn't sure if I liked him or not, however, I was grateful that he would do anything to protect the Queen, even though sometimes he made really bad decisions. Episode 19 made the choice for me. I'm just happy he died a hero and I think that was the best and most reasonable ending for him.

He stole my heart from the start. This is what a man should be like, how should man love like. At times his teary eyes would look to me redundant amongst all the comedy going on in the beginning, but in the end of the series the most logical love story line was all about him, his sacrifice and loyalty.

He showed the audience a different kind of love. From the beginning he had only one goal, that was to protect the queen and he did that until the end. I really love his character role. There are times when he has to make bad things or decisions just to protect the queen but he did that just for the sake of love, even if he is not the one that the queen loves he still loves and protects her until the end. He got my heart.

This is a hell of a complex, but amazing character. I was and still am so in love with him and Na In Woo's flawless acting. The way his eyes were really painfull looking, and how he just chose to simply crack a whole nation's government to protect his beloved one. That's a loving man. Just perfect. The only other character that I saw in doramas that felt as complex and apologizable as him, was Go General in River where the moon rises
