So whenever her beloved angel sends her a soul, torn asunder by rage and righteous fury, she mirrors him in kind. Lets their stories be heard by at least one person before they cross, so they may be at peace knowing that someone heard their tale to its conclusion without judgement, and without bias. So Death is not a cruel mistress. No. She had a heart that beat for each and every soul Life sent her way. She was loving to her angel the most, and only he would know the side of her that laughed and cried like any other mortal would. Because Death and Life were so intricately linked with the mortal soul that they reflected their people just as much as their people did them. So when the murder calls in the dead of night, show no fear. For Lady Death is merely escorting another weary soul to their eternal rest, her beloved angel ever near.

Death is a warm embrace, trickled with not fear but the warmth of a mother. Death holds those close to her as if they were her own. The crows are death’s children and we will soar upon this darkened sky.. Technically, the Angel of Death is one of Death’s Reapers. But one millennia at a time, a love so sweet blossomed between the two. Two immortal beings bringing chaos and destruction for their other half. Death holds her children close, while her Angel brings the children to her. The crows are an interesting subject. They fly on their own but choose to linger behind Death’s Angel. They are mere lost souls, taken from their homes because of their yearning for Death’s embrace. Lady Death has always delivered and the crows have bestowed their eternal loyalty to a lady so kind. And so a child made out of pure sunshine was born, the one thing Death has always been afraid of. How come her child, her own blood, be that that she cannot hold? A child with the sharpest rays and the brightest smile be her one wish? She is thankful her Angel can at least care for her Sundrop. She has continued to wallow in the Underworld to this day. Then her other child, a heart so corrupted she held him close. A heart who sings and whispers promises of mountains of wealth and happiness was clung deeply to. Mumza's existence in canon is so bittersweet- Yes, Phil has his wife and they're both canonically immortal in some sense of the word, and even when Phil dies, they'll be together still, Death and her angel will never truly be apart But c!Phil's still alive. He can't physically be with c!Mumza. Phil misses Mumza like, all the time. And since that forest popped up, he spends all his time there and he just- misses her. So much. Phil has been dead and Phil has been able to spend decades, centuries, with Mumza before, but now he's here. And they're not together. The only way they can really talk to each other is through the crows and weird, mysterious and unexplainable things that only Phil could understand. They'll be together for the rest of their existence, but they're *so far apart.* It hurts me T^T

For context this is the final chapter from my friend's (Abeille) story about the goddess of death. Also in this story Sally never died. “How did you die?” Kristen asked. Wilbur hesitated for a moment before saying. “Promise not be angry?” He looked at her. She nodded quietly. Before the sun had risen Wilbur awoke to Sally shaking his arm. “You have places to be.” She said giving him a kiss. That stirred him to life. He stared out at his army. Many of them would never see their families again, they would never return. “I’m going to be one of them.” He sighed and thought quietly to himself. As the masses arrived and the sun rose above the watchtowers of the city, Wilbur knew there was no turning back. “I am a coward. I cannot change that ever.” He echoed the words in his mind. He never wanted to forget that. The war was bloody and brutal. Hundreds of thousands were dead. Wilbur and his men had overpowered Schlatt though. Before they could execute their greatest adversary. He collapsed to the ground. “Mark my words. If I die this country goes down with me.” He cried out before taking his final breath and dying on the battlefield. Wilbur knew exactly what he meant. Wilbur felt lightheaded and dazed. He didn’t know what was happening. Where he was going. Before he knew it, Wilbur was in a familiar room, one rigged with explosives. The compulsive writings on the walls taunted and laughed at him. He could only hear her voice, it seemed to echo as she sang. I heard there was a special place. Where men could go and emancipate. “There was Sally. It’s not here anymore.” He breathed heavily and clutched his head in agony trying to make sense of it all. She continued to sing. A siren’s lullaby sweetly rang. The brutality and tyranny of their rulers “I have hurt so many and will always hurt the people I love. My actions are unjust, brutal and cold. They will never forgive me.” Well this place is real we needn’t fret With Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo and Eret “Eret betrayed L’manburg. Tubbo was a traitor to Manburg. Tommy is the only one who still has ties. I am nothing. I was a traitor since the beginning.” Wilbur sighed ready to end it all. He heard footsteps behind him but didn’t dare to turn around. “What are you doing Wilbur?” His father’s voice rang out in the small room. Wilbur’s hands shook violently. “The thing I built this nation for. The person I built it for. They don’t need me anymore.” He sighed not looking back. “There was a saying once Phil.” Wilbur said with a real, joyful, true smile across his face. He closed his eyes as a tear slid down his cheek. Her voice sang to him one last time. A very big and not blown up L’manburg! “It was never meant to be.” He pounded his fist into the button on the wall. His father’s wings shielding him was all he could see. He could hear the sound of screaming and the explosives echoing out into the distance. “Kill me. Please.” He begged staring into his father’s eyes. As he felt the sword enter his chest there was no pain. No suffering, sadness, fear, regret, only a voice. We sing L’manburg, we sing L’manburg, we sing L’manburg To our L’manburg As time passed by Wilbur and Kristen’s relationship stayed indifferent. Kristen would always be his mother that would never change. Wilbur had a new sense of freedom. His felt alive, ready to take his life on at full force. He had no feelings towards anyone, he only cared about himself. No one else mattered. “I want to go back.” He said one morning standing on the edge of the railroad smoking a cigarette. The sun was just rising over the horizon bank. It touched the top of the trees turning their leaves golden, making everything glow with sudden flare. That morning all the color seemed to be returning to the barren plane. “Is this vibrancy a gift from you?” Wilbur asked she came to stand beside him. “Not from me.” She smiled staring at him. The redness in his cheeks had returned. His hazel eyes looked red in the morning sun. All the color returned to the world around them. “Would you be glad to go back?” Kristen asked with a bit of a smile. “I would be very happy to return. There is a lot unsaid that needs to be said. A lot left undisputed, unforgotten, unforgiven, unwanted, and unfinished. I need to see, hear, feel, and say it all. I need to finish what is unfinished.” He said with a smile. She took his hand, “Nothing is ever left unfinished. It merely waits for the next author to pick it up and write some more, to play it, sing it, draw it, lead it, or start completely fresh with it. Nothing is ever unfinished.” She heard the sound of a train in the distance. The cigarette fell out of Wilbur’s mouth in shock. “Nothing is ever left unfinished. Not even your story.” Kristen smiled staring at him through her veil. What once showed her a man full of greed, jealousy, a flared temper, a depressed spirit, now showed her someone who wasn’t going to let life slip through his fingers ever again. “Goodbye for now.” She said letting go of his hand. As soon as she lost her grip on him he vanished before her eyes. She awoke in the manor to the sound of a train horn blaring in her ears. “Wilbur is coming back.” She ran to tell the others. And while she made it seem as if she was distraught it was all a ruse. For there was no reason to fear him. No reason to dread his return. He was a man of life and a mended spirit. “I don’t know what I will do now. I cannot return to the mortal plane.” Sally said sitting beside her mistress in the garden. “Do you love your life? The people you have met? The journeys you have endured?” Kristen asked handing her a red rose. “I do.” Sally replied. Kristen turned and smiled at her. “Go back to them.” Sally looked flustered. “How?” She begged to know. Kristen just smiled and took up her veil. “Live boldly, love everlastingly, find hope, honor, praise, and compassion in all you do, make a life for yourself and keep your enemies and friends close to you always. But most importantly my dear girl.” “Never look at someone’s heart through a veil.” Credits to Abeille

So when he died, as much as mumza wanted to help him, she could not. She was able to gift him one deck of cards though so that even in death, he would still remember her.

Ok so i head canon that Mumza lives in a castle with a giant library where she writes down the players live untill they die. On the first page are 3 hearts and she crosses them out if that person lost a canon life. The castle has a garden and dead and lost souls "spawn" here after their last canon death. In my head canon Philzas hardcore Minecraft world is canon. Philza was only born with one life with is pretty rare and no one makes it far with one life. So you know he ends up dieing to that baby zombie and spawns in the garden. Mumza is ready to take him to his limbo but he refuses in shock and fear. Mumza feels sorry for him and sends him back were he died giving him another life. Years passes and Mumza keeps looking after Phil. Phil then meet Technoblade and they started going on a murder trip. But philza keeps seeing a weird shadow after the battle. The shadow is Mumza who collects the dead souls. She doesn't need to but its an excuse to see Phil. She also started to talk to his crows and even sending him little letters and notes through us, the viewers. She has also welcomed Wilbur and Tommy and even though she knows that their are Phil's children she can't make any exceptions anymore. Jeez that was the longest text i have ever written lmao Sorry if I spelled something wrong or if my Gramma is incorrect cuz English is not my native language and I'm still learning Will this be on Spotify btw?

I swear, idk where it is but there's a headcanon that c!wilbur's real mum was actually Mumza instead of the fridge(correct me if I'm wrong pleasexkfjsj). But Dadza just told Wilbur that his mum was a fridge because he thought it would be easier to explain that than telling him that his mum is the literal goddess of death. Absolutely stunning song btw! I saw a lot of people putting headcannons here. So here’s mine. Phil and his Lady lived together and one day a miracle happened. A baby boy was born. He was immortal like his father and brought joy to both his parents. But the world is hard and the son was not as adept as his father at staying alive. And one day he died. Phil was stricken with grief and went against his Lady and revived his son. His Lady had to protect them (I’m not sure why I’ll leave an option at the bottom) and she wiped their memories, broke Phil’s wings, and sent them to live in the mortal world. Phil and his son lived together and Phil even took an apprentice and adopted another son, who needed Phil more than he would ever admit outside dire situations. One day Phil’s son built a country. But it was taken from him and that country went down the wrong path. Instead of letting it continuing down the wrong path Phil’s son blew it up. And he was so grief stricken over what he, and the thing he had built, had become he begged Phil to kill him. Phil complied. Phil’s Lady gave him back his memories and invited him to return to her and fix his wings now that the wrong had been righted. But Phil refused choosing to stay in the mortal world and keep the family he had built safe in repentance for killing his son. So instead his Lady gave him crows to send messages and would wait for him to visit her in the darkest of nights. Here’s that other option! Phil couldn’t revive Wilbur (his son) because Will would no longer be immortal and couldn’t live with them. I didn’t choose this for the original because I didn’t want to loose the memory bit. Btw I absolutely love this song and think it is so calming. Thank you for making it PJA. (:
