Well done son. Beautiful voice. Very blessed to have a tenor voice. I think Mario would be proud. My dad took me to see, The Student Prince, back in the 50's. I was very disappointed that it was Edmund Purdom lip synching and not Mario Lanza actually singing. I grew up listening to a lot of tenors but Lanza was my favourite next to Fritz Wunderlicht. You have a Jussi Bjorling tone in your voice, as he was called, "the man with the silvery voice". Thank you for uploading and sharing.

I hope my brother is walking with God now after he lost his battle with cancer, this is the first words I thought of when we were told he had died, I hope they don't play this at the funeral as I think I would cry I have tears in my eyes now listening to this and as the oldest brother I have to be the strongest.

O my lord, that was the best I've ever heard that sung. I'm sobbing my heart out.💔 One of my mum's favourites. She passed away last march just after lock down. Sadly there was only 7 at her funeral as all her friends were shielding. I would love to play that at her celebration of life service, whenever that will be. Her other favourite was "the holy city". I would love to hear you sing that if you would please. ♥️

Oh Richard, how wonderful that was.. I have only heard it sung by Mario Lanza when he did the film about Enrico Caruso, but I have heard it many times played by different Brass Bands.. My husband played the Euphonium solo, of this song, a few times and it really touches the heart and soul.. Thank you for this wonderful rendition and also for sparking memories of my beloved husband who passed away 3 and a half years ago.. my father died in June 2020 and was a big Mario Lanza fan so we had it at his funeral then my wife passed away in May 2021 and unbeknown to me had this song played at her funeral (she changed it just before she died) I must admit you are a very close second to Mario (that is a big compliment).
