My grandparents who were born in the late 1890’s had these type of tumbler & water-holding items by their bedside. If a drink of water was wanted during the nighttime it was readily available. In large farmhouses the water supply is most times far from the bedrooms.

Old Krosno crystals made in Poland now is expensive and great quality, but new made I think in Brasil is crap as they using worse led . People in Australia trowing crystals to charity shops after they parents die and charity shops selling for almost nothing as no one is using.
