I remember when you first met him with Dane, showing you the history and people of the area where he lived, with all the artefacts he had collected for many many years during his long life. The few words that are given to the rest of his friends and family members and community never really takes the sting away from the loss. The loss of such a get and loved man will be felt for many years. The one great comfort in this tragedy is knowing he passed in his beloved wilds doing what he most loved and cherished. God bless all the many people this great man has touched in his life long mission to preserve the history and heritage of the Aboriginal people. So sorry for your loss. I had someone come into my life who was just like Viv. He too passed before I had enough time with him. He did teach me how to mine for gold here in the Az. desert. Also a lot about the different plants on the desert that can keep you alive if caught with no water. He was a man who was expert in nothing, but knowledgeable in all. His words not mine. He's been gone almost 20 years now and think of him often. RIP Viv RIP Paul until we meet again buddy.

Farewell Viv, he had a good innings and lived long enough and true enough to become wise to the land.. Its pretty hard to live to 100 when youre out in the elements, spending your time in some of the most rough & rugged places in the world, but theres nowhere else he'd rather have been! 70 years lived like this is worth double as a city accountant 😁
