Good grief at that cop... My cousin is a policeman and if he finds someone walking down a road on city property, he pulls over and asks if they're alright and if their car is broke down. If they reply with 'no', he just gives them a warning (politely) and goes on his way. He doesn't stand there and argue... Now, I am returning to watch the video. Just wanted to say that.

There is a certain distance between road and ground before it's considered tresspassing. I think it is about 5 ft from it but not sure if that is correct.

Actually the road is okay to be on he said that the forest and of the road was private property and that you aren't aloud to be there because it's private property, and the cop said that there was a water supply there which people use, so if someone were to poison that water supply people could get killed. Omar and James could have had to payed $10,000 dollars and up to 18 months in jail so they got off easy even though that cop was very rude.
