I'm back! I've been working hard behind the scenes to up my game, and now it's time for start bringing more videos. I hope you like this -- and I hope that in watching it, you realize I'm root for you all, not against you ♥

Love the pottery example! I personally don't like to think of iterations as failures, but "fail fast" certainly rolls off the tongue. It's much less about failing and more about putting "finished" things out into the world as quickly as possible and getting that external feedback.

So true! I think that probably warrants a new video in the near future. That’s one of the biggest things I think newer people to the workforce struggle with - knowing how valuable it is to have people actually see your work, quickly, so you can learn and adjust!

I'm a college professor who teaches both face-to-face and online math classes. The feds insist that each online class have a set of discussion topics - no one wants them - people who take online classes are, for the most part, not people who want to bother with other people in the class. They just want to get their work done and graduate. Soooooo, I am going to use your video as my first discussion topic; failing is a necessary topic - at least half (and often more) of math students fail math repeatedly. Why not make failures a guide to what you SHOULD be doing rather than what a high school guidance counselor told you to do? Thank you for putting this video up on KZbin.

That’s truly amazing (that part of you using it, not that you have to do it :D ). As a math kid myself, I’m super excited to be a part of that education in any way!

I'm literally laughing at my failure. 😂 Analysed my mistakes, so I don't mess up from next time. Thanks man.

Love it! That's what you have to do. (And you might, probably will, still mess up again, but hopefully not in the same way). Keep going though - it's all part of achieving success!

Hey Art. I'm one of your video editor's contestants here :D. I am glad to see you back! Your stories always make me feel connected and it motivates me a lot. Keep up the work!

Linh! You were without a doubt one of my favourites from the start. Keep making your own videos and editing - you have something special for sure. I’m trying to make a video about the experience - I’ll be sure to give a shout out (and let you know when I figure out how to tell the story in the right way!)

I think not all falling is funny. Sometimes it will be a womb because I am falling, but now I am hoping to stand up myself and learn from my mistake. It is not about money or social things; it is worth more than that. And thanks for the video i like it keep it up.

Thanks. I agree, not all failing is funny in and of itself. Maybe it's just me, but I try, and usually end up laughing about even my worst failures. The thing may not be funny, but I find away to laugh at myself: maybe it's how I handled it, how embarrassed I was, or how long it took me to get over it. Eventually I personally find something funny to remember, even from the worst moment in life. But, as you mentioned, the funny or not, the key is to stand back up. It's hard, but you'll do it, you will learn something about yourself and it will make you stronger so long as you keep trying. Appreciate the comment!

Love it! I don't know if I've heard that before or not, but with the video as well ... man. I'm not crying, you're crying. "'Cause I love you more than you could know And your heart, it grows every time it breaks I know that it might sound strange But I wish you pain"

I recently had a failure, are I should say 2 failures on the same thing. I recently got hired at a hospital as a patient care tech. So it's a lot of training but one of the training is called documentation, learning the computer system to put information in on the patient. I am not computer savvy and I'm most definitely not administrative savvy. I have taken that class twice and I am struggling to just keep up with the instructor...it is a fast pace class. And they will not slow down for anyone who cannot keep up 😓 and the thing is I have to pass the class before I can start documenting on patients. So I've been practicing on the module that they send out before the actual class. And I'm understanding it a little bit better than day one. But I have to get it the next class.🤯 🥴🙃
