I Love Madoka Magica! (And The Re-watch Is Even Better) [3 Year Anniversary Special]

What a fantastic video to celebrate 3 years ^^ Anyway, here's my obligatory nonsense: When I first watched Madoka Magica, I have never seen a single Magical Girl series before and episode 1 certainly rang some alarm bells (The first minutes would look suspicious, no matter what would have followed). So when episode 3 came around, I was less shocked and more excited, because the story introduced so many new concepts that I enjoeyed and it was a thrill ride through and through until the end. And that climactic ending was like the best thing ever at the time I've watched Madoka Magica. On the re-watch though, I could completely focus on how well the Anime builds its narrative, themes and characters, so while on the first watch, I mostly enjoeyed it for the spectacle, the re-watch let me actually appreciate Madoka Magica as a whole. It is also a series that changed the Anime landscape, however I still have to see an Anime that explores its themes better than itself... and while it was one of the first Anime that I have watched, it's still one of my favorites. Well, that's it for me. Good luck in the following years and also #KyubeyDidNothingWrong ... I'm a horrible person XD

Sadly i didn't like it as much as most people, though i think it's still very good. I wanted Mami to be in the show more as she could have played the wise teacher/veteran role and taught the girls more, while also having layers of weakness and insecurities herself. Also she's the cutest girl

Still one of my favorites of all time, but it seems a near impossible feat to get anyone else to watch past episode two, even when I tell them they need to give it at least three episodes to get started. So many people will just never know.

In most media, there are really bland cliches. The tsundere who does literally NOTHING other than being a hindrance who is somewhat a good fighter The yandere/yangire. Legit all they are is a bitch and I usually end up hating them. The protag. Clumsy and unlikable. Still easy to hate. A very bland villian. Like wtf is there no detail?? But not PMMM! It's way more creative, so ili
