Great video and positive vibe! I recently went with 15mm Eibachs all around - V8 S with blades. Looks great. No issues with 15mm on blades because of the pockets, as you mentioned. I sprayed a layer of Permatex Anti-Seize Lubricant on the rear face of the spacer. One negative I see is that the spacers highlight and draw your eye to the wheel gap between the tire and fender. I ordered so Velocity AP springs to drop the profile 22mm or so. We'll see . . .

Hi Jim, I do not have the actual part number but it was a place in Reno Nevada called Motorsport-Tech. Lots of options, but I basically measure things so wheel is still slightly inset and not quite flush. Would love to hear how you make out there. Cheers.

Thanks, I am not sure on the wear as the geometry should not change other than maybe harder deflection with aggressive bumps. But time will tell

The big question with electric assisted HP is how many pulls are the small batteries good for, and then how long do you have to drive at reduced power (and high weight) to recharge them?
@FFE-js2zp

And how much do they cost to replace in a few years, as all Li-Ion batteries have brief lifespans. Manufacturers LOVE the idea of $100K disposable cars. Once people figure that out, they won't be as in love.

Hi Mark, nice look with the new adaptors. You have the 5042 wheels but my Jag has the 1066 wheels. I was told on the 1066 wheels the 17mm should be good without cutting any of the studs, would you know if that's true? Also you seem to have the same tire size as mine, 295 in the back and 255 in the front would you know if your 5042 wheels have the same offset as my 1066 wheels? My front wheels are 9x20 55 and the back are 11x20 54. I assume the 54 and 55 is the offset and was wondering if you know your offset on the 5042 wheels, I cant seem to find that info on the online. I am also worried about using 17mm in the front, not sure if it tires would rub. Also where did you buy your spacer hub adaptors? thank you for your time on this. Dom.c
@markholubetz
@markholubetz Жыл бұрын
Hi Dom, thanks and yes they fit great and I love the stance now. My wheels are the blades and have relief pockets in back eliminate cutting of studs but from what I have heard is that all other wheels may require trimming. If you have a wheel off, have a look at the way they are machined because if they are relatively flat at the back, then modifying the studs may be in order. Always measure twice and cut once. Cheers

It’s surprising how much different it looks! I will be interested in knowing if you notice the car getting dirtier when you drive in wet weather.. I have the same wheels on my R, so I’m glad to learn you didn’t have to grind down the lugs or drill out the back of the wheels. P.S. use a torque wrench to torque the lug nuts to the proper spec for the vehicle, and don’t use air/impact wrenches.
@markholubetz
@markholubetz 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks David on the torque wrench tip. It’s very important to have everything tightened to spec and not above. As far as the rainy mess, we will see and I will update the channel with time on any negative results. I read on the site of the spacers about the only exception being the blade wheels so that was an easy sell for me. Have an awesome day.

My rears are flush with no rubbing. One thing to keep in mind, my after market wheels came in with the wrong offset, so I have 15mm spacers too. Its way better, IMO, to have the correct, pushed-full-out wheel offset than spacers with after market wheels. The reason isn't safety, its bcs you'll have much deeper dish wheel spokes. I personally hate flat rear spoke wheels.
