When Trey Murphy is back, you HAVE to start him. I don't care if that means a conventional center is playing or not. Trey starting is two years overdue. Lineups with Trey and Zion tend to obliterate opponents, and yet we don't get to see them as much as we should because they've got $60 million tied up into two flawed scorers (Ingram and McCollum). Personally, I wouldn't have traded for Murray in the first place. I would have made my identity Zion plus defenders/shooters/role players. But I get that that's a tough sell when Zion can't stay healthy. But now that you do have Murray, I want to see Murray-Herb-Trey-Zion as much as possible. I don't really care who the fifth guy is. I will say that if there's no center, Zion is about to average 30 ppg on 65% shooting.

@@ztlabraptor211It literally does. The biggest issue was lack of creation outside of ant and Conley, randle and Donte ABSOLUTELY helps that. Plus they can put up WAY more 3s since randle is great at kicking out to the 3 when he drives.
@ztlabraptor211Ай бұрын
@@KrustyKrabPizza22 lack of shooting was a larger issue than lack of creation. Also the issue is Randle is ONLY a creator, he’s a pretty bad player off the ball… and letting ant create is still the more beneficial method of offence most of the time. And who is Randle gonna drive and kick to ? The majority of his minutes especially in a playoff setting will be shared with Gobert and McDaniels, an offensive non factor and a wing who teams were comfortably leaving open for most of last season. It’s just gonna be even easier for Dallas to pack the paint defensively and dare Randle, Gobert and McDaniels to shoot, and score at will against this team that’s both a lot smaller now and has more weak links.
@KrustyKrabPizza22Ай бұрын
@@ztlabraptor211 Ant shot 42% on catch and shoot 3s, Donte is one of the best shooters in the league, Naz and McDaniels are good from 3 they have a lot of shooters lmao. You also don't know how the rotation will look, as only the coaching staff is in control of that. There's a reason why the coaching staff wanted to trade for randle and Donte, and I'm confident they'll make it work. Randle and Robinson (who's a similar archetype to Gobert) had a 120ORTG last season when they played together. Also they don't leave McDaniels open on the perimeter what have you been watching? He had a shooting slump last year, but he's respectable from 3.

3:22 Being named an All Star in the East is the not the same as it is in the West Funky. Are All-Star selections even notable? Do injury replacements counts as making the All Star team if you weren't originally selected, and it's based off who can perform during the ASG so really I don't get what's so big about being named an All-Star these days

I love SGA but im one of the few that think that OKC will regress towards the mean this season. Im feeling 49-52 wins. They have talent, but even with the additions- I don't believe they will reach last year's success. I know everyone thinks there is some upward trajectory guarantee out there for young teams, but statistics prove otherwise. So fresh is everyone's memory that reality is notwithstanding. OKC winning(or even making the WCF) would be like the Celtics making the finals in '20 (and they didn't).
@ztlabraptor211Ай бұрын
Im in the same boat most of the time, and I think it applies this year to teams like Orlando and Houston, but okc should be an exception. Improvement of youth aside, they’re just an exceptionally well rounded team that fits together perfectly. They have one of the most consistent stars in the league, a ton of shooting, defence and depth around him, a secondary creator in Williams and added two guys who could start for contending teams to their bench
@Luciandl1Ай бұрын
I think you're in for a crazy surprise then
@grandpa203Ай бұрын
Definitely a hot take lol….they addressed their weaknesses. Add to key veteran rotational players. Also their young guys got key playoff experience which will help in their development. They will be just as dominant last season if not more
@tayciskoАй бұрын
I liked this comment but I’m on the complete opposite side of the argument here the clear difference between this team and other young teams are they are HUNGRY and love the game yeah they might be into fashion but you can tell they wanna win unlike a Houston team
@CrazyxEnigmaАй бұрын
Disagree barring injuries or surprise locker room problems I think the Thunder will finish with a similar or better record than last season's. They have an MVP caliber player in SGA, they have two others that are just about All Star caliber in JDub and Chet and they added some nice pieces in Hartenstein and Caruso without giving up anything significant. This team has 95 Magic trajectory imo with Caruso serving a similar role to Grant on that team as the vet who has championship experience.

Is rudy gobert essential to the wolves title hopes? I feel like they can trade him and let Naz take the C starting position.
@ztlabraptor211Ай бұрын
Uh… yeah ? lol, the entire reason the wolves are good is their defence and Gobert is the anchor to that. In the playoffs last year they were hemhoraging points when Reid was at the 5, and now with Randle that’s an even smaller front court.
@michiganlover12Ай бұрын
I’m a Gobert hater but he’s truly elite on defense; he just looks goofy. His offense is what is indefensible for a max player
@winter9242Ай бұрын
Lol naz is too small to be playing the full time center. He's much better suited at the 4 spot
@gators9570Ай бұрын
They’re not getting close to what they traded for Gobert if they move him
@rome8180Ай бұрын
I love Naz, but I would expect their defense to fall about 10 spots if they trade Gobert. Not sure their offense would gain enough to offset that.
@MrE_Ай бұрын
Randle is a very overrated player. Good player, but he wouldn't be an allstar in a year where the actual allstars weren't injured or fighting over the same positions
