Swordsoul was my first actually "good" deck I played and did decent with at locals, once Mo Ye got more affordable. Swordsoul combos are easy, telegraph well, got obvious chokepoints and don't take 15 years to accomplish, while still having some cool options with the tenyi if you do get a bad hand or get negated. Also the arts are cool.

I believe it's for the lore reason as Longyuan betrays the Swordsoul. Almost kills Mo ye to get the other half of his sword back from her. By that time, he only burns for 1200. Then, he transforms into Qixing Longyuan & fought both Icejade Kosmochlor & Chengying. They both died at the end. Probably that's the reason the 1200 burn becomes twice.

It's ridiculously cheap value, it does way too much for so little. Just bunch of 1-2 card combos, especially with the tenyi engine, they always have a way out, and blackout is a degenerate card. I mostly hate swordsoul because of protos and blackout.

This is actually legit. Swordsoul, Branded, Punk, Floo are are around the same power, so that format wasn't that bad. Bc you could play many different decks and do good. Now in Tear 0 format, to keep seeing SwordSoul top events, win smaller events, and win multiple locals filled with Tear everywhere. Is actually impressive.
