I am very impressed, but this is not for us, but rather to the glory of god who gave the talent. Keep being that instrument of praise brother. Makes me wanna dust of my selmer mark 6 and start playing again.

Exceedingly bright and tuneful, strikingly original: avant guard, sonorous, lyrical: suggestive of the lyrics, ebullient, airy: sustained final note ceaseless and exquisitely clear: soars on forever to the dimension we know not: GLORIOUS, Holy!!

He played this at my Cousin Bea's funeral on November 17th of this year. He played and held a particular note just like 3:22 so long that if it was possible, Cousin Bea would have opened her casket and came out. No disrespect to my cousin's memory.

This is a song made by Richard Smallwood, Whitney Houston took it for her movie. He was also in our church, it was awesome. Only circular breathing isn't so good for the brain, it can damage because by breahting through you close certain veins. So if you want to live longer than you have to skip circular breathing.

all i can say is WOW! how did you hold that note for that LONG towards the end?! pure talent and skill. God bless you to continue to play for His glory and to excel in your craft. This blessed me tremendously. I'm playing it right now at my desk and it's hard to focus on my work. I just wanna stop what I'm doing, lift my hands, and worship my King.

+tonia mydell when you find out how he held that not so long, let me know :) simply amazing
@Saxkiwi9 жыл бұрын
+tonia mydell Hi Tonia to hold a note that long is a technique called circular breathing. You breathe in through your nostrils at the same time breathing out of your mouth or blowing air through your mouth piece, it takes a lot of years to perfect the technique.. Try blowing through a straw into a glass of water and breath through your nose at the same time. Its quite tricky but you can get the idea! cheers

By the way, I was told to practice circular breathing with a straw and a glass of water. Is that correct? I have developed atrial fibrillation of the heart muscle and when I hold long notes I get light headed, short of breath and my heart starts beating out of rythym. Would circular breathing be a help to me. I'm 57 and not in the best of health but I really enjoy playing. I just don't want a blood clot to end me while on stage. Atrial fib will definately cause that to happen.

@docholloway530 lol....wouldn't want to give my opinion as to whether or not I think it would help! that's something somebody with much more knowledge than I to comment on! sorry to hear of your medical condition. as far as practicing circular breathing, can't really help there either. the technique came to me in a dream believe it or not! that's why I decided to give my talents and gifts back to God!!!
