There isn't a group on the planet that has more personality than AG . There live sets are truly legendary and they definitely deserve a deep dive .

It's a lot of hard work to let a perfect show look that easy. And they not only do that, they also make it look like they don't take themselves too serious. And that's the top point to me. Love that performance!

The amount of happiness that AG has brought to my life is unreal. You put it right, you can't help but smile and feel happy, they do that a lot (even when the lyrics are serious). I guarantee you will enjoy their videos if you continue to check them out (I hope your viewers are able to appreciate them too). If I may, I want to recommend "Mayoeba toutoshi".

AG has an incredible number of metal fans, me included. There is something about them that draws the attention of fans like me who have zero interest in pop or idols. The music is good and I think it is also the fact that they are just free and do what they want. Their music has strong influences of pop, jazz, rock, hip hop and I guess now in metal. I highly suggest Koi Geba one of their most viewed my.

They created this performance. They do their own choreography and for other groups. Also have input to the writing of the lyric. They all have been performing since they were roughly 5yo. Began as child models while learning dance and vocals, they are "Old Pro's". There is an aspect of Japanese culture in regard to very young girls and old men.

Yeah your interpretation is about right. It's about both of the main points you touched on I believe, done in a kind of tongue in cheek way that plays on the trying to act older than you are. So a nuanced message that isn't really directly pointing to a social issue but in a round about kind of way still gets there.

Lowkey love people seeing this video. I stumbled on their First Take as I was just autoplaying a TFT videos. I stumbled on them and I was like oh who is this? And I was instantly taken in by their energy. This led me down a rabbit whole of their content where I just became hooked. Then when I looked I saw they were coming to Boston, and I was like oh I can't do that I don't know them. After so much back and forth with myself I did, and it was one of my favorite concert going experiences in a long time! So I love seeing people have that same reaction to them!

When I first saw this I was impressed that AG! had done the most important thing so well ie. come up with a fun way to get on and off stage. They set the atmosphere from the first second and leave you smiling at the end. AG! formed back in 2015 and are managed by Asobisystem and 88Rising. Mizyu (two hair bunches) had already worked with Asobisystem as a backup dancer with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Suzuka, Kanon and Rin joined her. Mizyu is three years older than the others and so was sometimes called the leader by journalists, and the others still look to her in some circumstances, but Suzuka's extrovert personality and strong voice make her the obvious front woman. Still, AG! are always quick to say that they have no leader. They are all trained dancers and do all of the choreography themselves and work with various producers on the songs including H ZettM, Money Mark and Yonkey. This artistic input sets them apart from most J-pop and K-pop "idol type" groups and their stage shows are performed with a unique joy and flair. They just released a new album called "AG! Calling" and they get song writing credits with various producers. Otona Blue (Adult Blues) contains a double meaning as Suzuka says "Otonaburu" on purpose which means to "act like an adult". It's about "teenage awakening" ie. the awareness of desire in others and their own desire to grow up and experience adult emotions, or at least their fantasy of them. AG wrote the lyrics when they were younger (they are all in their 20s now) and I think it's an honest expression of their feelings as they approached adulthood, which can make people uncomfortable, but it seems like an important subject for 4 young women who started performing in front of people when they were teenagers. The lyrics about trying to act older are combined with a deliberately coquettish dance. The music has a retro vibe as it's heavily influenced by an 80s Showa era song by Akiko Wada called "Furui Nikki". I recommend you react to some live performances with audiences as that's where AG! are the best.

A lot of their songs have socially conscious messages, yet they never preach - it's all done through joy.

AG's music is not something I would listen to without the choreography that accompanies it. Their choreo is unconventional to say the least, and very fun to watch. From what I can tell about The First Take, the artists on it do not dance or anything other than play and or sing their song. AG decided that wasn't what they would do and danced it out with a somewhat stripped down version of their choreo. I have watched several of their live concert videos and they seem to have a great time doing what they do. Judging by the many videos of them being silly out in public, I think you could follow them into a Walmart store and have more fun than going to Disney World.

What you just so eloquently described is what's known as the "male gaze," which is essentially the sexualization or objectification of women. I love how AG subverts and puts a twist on this concept by simply singing about it.
@rolandkarlsson7072
@rolandkarlsson7072 11 күн бұрын
No, they are absolutely NOT singing about any objectification, that is a western myth. They are singing about young girls on the way to maturity that both has got sex appeal and long for sex but really is to young and really should wait maybe 5 years, which is an infinity for a teenager. This is called otona-bru in Japan, young girls trying to look older. And, as the age of consent is 13 in Japan it has a totally other meaning than e.g. in US, where it is the ridiculous 18.
