Fun fact: Dreamcatcher's SuA and Siyeon have mentioned ATEEZ as their favorite boy group. They've met 3 times (during their Vision, Bonvoyage and OOTD comebacks) when Hongjoong and Yunho were MCs on Idol Radio. Naturally, they got along like a house on fire, especially when SuA taught them their choreos 😆

So I feel like I need to add a bit to Jongho's section that explains a lot about his on screen personality. This guide glosses over it but Jongho had the longest trainee period of any of the members. He became a trainee at TOP Entertainment at around 12 or 13 years of age (Korean age system makes it hard to know exactly). He has said he became a trainee too young. When his voice started to change it went a bit nasally and instead of helping him work with that, the trainers at TOP would tell him that they hated listening to him sing and that if he was going to sing like that, he should just quit. There were other issues that he's brought up in their treatment of all trainees and eventually Jongho had enough and left TOP. He decided he was going to take a a few months off to decide if he wanted to continue his dream of being an Idol or if he was going to give it up and find another path forward in a different job. One week into that break KQ called to offer him an audition. He wasn't sure and a friend he was having lunch with convinced him to go and even picked out the song and outfit for the audition. Even after making the debut team and moving into the group dorm, he was exhausted and packed up and left with out any warning. He was away for 15 days before returning. We came so close to not having his amazing talent in the industry.

So some new informations are - - New comeback and new era Golden Hour Part.1 coming soon on May 31st. Preorders are starting now. - Ateez has charted No. 1 in billboard 200 for their latest album The World EP. Fin : Will, which is their second full album and contains unit songs. - Hongjoong is now producing more songs and even a producer now for their juniors at KQ, Xikers, who debuted in 2023. (they are amazing) - Mingi has now produced several songs and he's released a self-produced song called Untitled which he wrote during his hiatus. and he's released "Tunnel" which is the first song of the "Fix Off" project he's doing. "fix off" is the real version of mingi and when he's singing. "fix on" is when he's in ateez, rapping, showing his cool side! He's also the king of freestyle dance and rap. - Mingi is not rly the quiet type, more like the realist in the grp but also soft. He's one of the most energetic and kind of the mood maker even haha. He was jumping ard in coachella crowds haha it was so funny. - jongho has embraced his maknae side more these days and he's being all cute and more silly, having fun - San is offficially in the main dancer line now, which makes 4 main dancers in the group. San, Yunho and Wooyoung are very respected dancers in the industry and are the role models of many younger idols. - Every member has done song covers. And some of them, dance covers too. - They were the first boy grp to perform in Coachella which was a HUGE success, every member went viral and so many new Atinys are joining the fandom bcz of it. - Their world tours are like musicals, theatrical and cinematic, they've gotten Best World Tour award for their Break the Wall tour. They are now doing the Will to Power tour. They will be coming to the US in July. - Hongjoong is the ambassador of Balmain now, named "the Balmain Prince" by Olivier Roustein. He's a very respected leader in the kpop industry. I know this can be information overload but i just wanted to say the members have gotten so much more mature and confident in their abilities. They have improved so much more from even last yr. They are one of the most competitive and hardworking people in the industry. They are genuinely so close to each other as well. A group worth stanning for sure!

i think this guide has a hard time capturing the layers of some members, namely mingi seonghwa and jongho, so i think checking out compilations or content would be nice :). like seonghwa is not borderline chaotic, he’s fully cracked (he just recently got ateez’s twitter verification removed by trolling too hard). i wouldn’t call mingi shy at all with the way he was jumping around the isoknock set at coachella; he’s like super real though lmao. he’s recently been on a kick talking about the state of the economy and why he won’t shop or get tattoos, which i have found hilarious. and jongho is genuinely so so unserious, idk how anyone would describe that man as somber.

"Low key" can mean a low sound or register. However, in this context, it would be "lowkey" or alternatively still "low key", which is slang that means, secretly, to an extent, to a certain level.
