Killer Snowbike run,we just returned from Winter Park.Our second year on Lenz Type 2 snowbikes.I uploaded a very similar speed run today from Friday.Was running ski tracker and was stoked to hit 97.5 KM/H.To bad everyone watching these fast runs just dont understand how fast we are really moving.Only wish we had more than 1 week a year to go to the Mainland to ride,Aloha keep shreding.

@tunengames yes i did thats why i put four edges in in to snow . with wax on most days i could have done same run in half the time. a snow bike is not as out of control. it can be stopped with lots more control at faster speeds due to use of upper body force on front ski and lower body on rear ski.

You have to think ski, not bike, the rear ski can be skidded out to slow you down, or turn uphill. Some skibikes do have brakes too.

@pogomitchell no bikes at this tine but there will be a park bike and an all mtn bike next season

@snowbikebear What about Keystone, Breck, or Beaver Creek? Winter Park is good, and I used to get a season pass there for many years, but I wouldn't trade in my Epic pass at Vail for anything. When it comes to fast groomers, nobody can hold a candle to Vail. I really want to give snow bikes a go, but if it came down to switching my season pass in order to ride, I am keeping the season pass.

@v12tommy only keystone but you need a bike they dont have real snowbikes and winterpark only place that rents near by.

Wow, having done a B-line down Simba myself, you really don't get the sensation of speed on camera like you do in person. You must have been really flying assuming you get the same speed on a bike like you do on skis. I was actually just about to email Vail to see if you could bike during the day (I knew they had the night thing) but I am glad to see you can. I can't wait to give it a go this winter. I hear it is easy to learn, is that true?

@v12tommy you actualy cant snow bike on vail in the day unless you are adaptave. they do have old junky unsafe foot skis and yellow tubes with skis that you can ride at night vail doesnt want bikes on the ski hill in the day time. if you want to snow bike go to winterpark they like bikers over there and have lenz sport bikes and they also run a great snow bike school . if you want the best time on a bike go to sippapu on first weekend in feb or druango last weekend in feb for a snow bike fest .
