I love to sniff my birds too! My male dove has a dusty earthy corn chip type smell. My hen dove sort of smells like vegetables and dust My budgie hens smell like celery. My male budgies smell sort of like wet silk and cream of wheat. Sometimes a hint of chicken mixed in.

Hello lulzbrownie. I have a question for you. My pigeonis feeding one baby alonely. And he feeds the pigeon milk. But there is many seed also. So the baby poops has some seeds. Will it ok?

after a few days of being on pigeon milk, the baby will be fed seeds the parents have also stored in their crop... how old is the baby? i hope it's not too cold when the single parent is off the baby, they usually take turns sitting on them until they're too big. also are you sure the baby is pooping undigested seeds? sometimes whenever the parents feed it can get messy where seeds fall out of their mouth and all over the nest. i think as long as the baby is warm and is being fed consistently he should be fine. if you have to intervene to take care of the baby you can as well, baby pigeons can be fed peas; i buy frozen bags of peas(no added salt, organic, etc) and microwave them in a small bowl for 15-30 seconds, as long as it's warm but not too hot to the touch, baby birds need warm food in order to pass food properly

My pigeon was outdoor pigeon and saved from me. She is really muture at rasising baby. But not sure about the pigeon milk. Cause it has too many seeds. Anyway i'll feed only my hand maded bread, egg and something not seed food from tommorow. Thanks for your very long advice.

@@lulzBrownie Today afternoon i gave my pigeon 1 hour longer rest for better digest. But now my pigeon suddenly quit to feed right now... i have one more female pigeon. that pigeon is not a very good parent (she doesnt feed but sit for long and attack the better parenting pigeon) and she was sitting 2hours at this time for the first. And then this happend... i just quickly fed baby pigeon after eight hours starve. Now here is middle of night. She is still doesn't want to feed. It seems cause the other birds sitting before.. Anyway if my dove quit to feeding even at the day light. I really have to feed this baby for two weeks at least. I searched about formula. Words and videos. And im bit confuse. How thick this should be. I read 1:5. Is it about weight? Or eye measurement? (This is for 1-2 day old formula mix) he is barely alive right now. I fed eye measured formula for now. I think this was too watery. Please help me... Im also barely alive now... I apologize for my bad English.
