Not necessarily. The Riyadh season negotiates with each fighter independently, so it is definitely possible that they do not know what the other is asking or getting. Do we know what Fury or Usyk are getting for this fight? or what AJ got in his previous fight? or what Wilder got against Zhang? or Zhang? or Parker? Since it is not an open purse bid with splits, it is hard to know unless they disclose it.

Kabayel pulled out of fighting Bakole the day before a mandated purse bid was due to be held. The percentage split of the winning bid that each fighter would receive was fixed in advance by the IBF when they ordered the bid to take place. So Kabayel is lying when he says he pulled out because Bakole was asking for too much money. If Jim White and Simon Jordan don't know how purse bids work in boxing, they have no business hosting a boxing podcast. If they do know, why did they allow Kabayel to get away with telling a blatant lie without challenging him about it?

Lots of boxers do not want to fight Bakole. Kabayel is an impressive fighter. If lies have been told it will come out in the fullness of time. It's also up to Bakole to tell the world what you claim has happened.

@@Eric76 The reason Kabayel gave for pulling out of the fight doesn't make sense. A purse bid had been ordered by the IBF, with the total purse to be split 60/40 in Kabayel's favour, because he was ranked higher than Bakole. Whoever won the purse bid, the split would be the same. If Bakole was asking for more money, all Kabayel needed to do was allow the bid to take place, and Bakole would have to either accept his split, or pull out of the fight. But instead of doing that, Kabayel pulled himself out, the day before the bid was scheduled to happen. Like I said, it makes no sense to do that, then claim you did it because your opponent was asking for too much money.

The WBC interim champ will either face the winner of Fury v Usyk for a larger split percentage, or be elevated to full champion if they retire or decide to vacate. The IBF title shot will be for a smaller split percentage against a less lucrative champion in Daniel Dubois.
