Yeah. I really understand it. My grandma died and my grandpa held her hand until her last breath. He smiled for another week. As we huddled around her. He held my hand. He told her, “I know you can’t hear me baby. But I love you.” What hurt the most was watching them take her out of her home, cold, and gone. We knew it was a mask to make us feel better. He died a week after her. The deja vu relayed. We had to physically hold up my mother and my uncle. I’ve never felt pain like that. I can’t explain what I felt. I felt like I was dying. Putting on my funeral attire again. Walking into that church again. Walking back to her casket. Then lying his next to hers. The pain of my family. Holding eachothers hands and they lowered him. Looking into my big brothers eyes, he looked dead. Watching my mother fall to her knees at 2 am in the bathroom as his oxygen dropped. I held maw. For an hour. As I whispered “I love you.” To her. A muffled “I love you too.” Escaped her mouth. But the thing was, she wasn’t responsive. She couldn’t even open her eyes. Painful moans from the living room, as they moved her into the hospital bed. Crying, screaming, and whimpering. Paw asking “is my oxygen doing good?” As it dropped slowly. We answered “yessir. It’s doing great.” As I cried huddled to my cousin, he asked “what’s wrong Dylan?” I couldn’t breath. I’ll never experience this type of trauma ever again.

See, this hits different because I helped my best friends get together even though I was in love with my boy best friend. They broke up and we started talking. We've both loved each other and are trying to fight all odds. He normally ignores me (partially) when I sing otp w/ him. He started at me with wonder in his eyes and gave me heart hands as I'm singing to him. We are both suicidal and only alive bc of each other.
