Thank you, Chi. I do wish I could wear off the shoulder tops and skirts with slits, but when it is cold, I need my turtle necks under my sweaters and a heavy coat buttoned up, with a scarf around my neck. No skirts, prefer courderoys or slacks with tights underneath. Cold weather is not my friend. :-)

Thank you Chi. I am 5.1” and need all pants shortened. My tailor gets very upset with the length I want. He thinks my legs look longer with pants touching the floor. I told him ladies do not wear pants lying in folds around their ankles. I am a senior so usually wear 2” heels sometimes 3” to get my pants off the floor. He was insulted and said he had been a tailor for forty years and never had a customer challenging his chosen length. Is he right ?

Pants touching the floor can be stylish but not in a foldy way

He is wrong. The pants should be at least a half inch off the floor to avoid tripping in the shoes you want to wear with them. We can't always wear heels. Maybe he is used to tailoring for men.
