Happy Birthday Michelle….I’m 75. Now that was a milestone. I will say, turning 50 was very hard for me…before I considered myself a girl, then suddenly I was a Woman… 60 was nothing..70 was the same…75, kicked my ass. I realized I’m on my last chapter. So, enjoy every single minute! Don’t take anything for granted…live, love laugh and be happy.

Michele, thank you so much for addressing not wanting kids and NORMALIZING it! I'm 36, and I don't want kids at all. I'm fine with my choice, and so is my partner, but other people make you feel like an alien and excluded (especially if you live in the Midwest). I'm really happy you said what you said. I wanted to ask you that on Instagram, but I didn't know how to in a way that didn't seem judgy/disrespectful. Everyone deserves the family they want - if that looks like you and a dog, you and a partner, or just you, that's fine, and people need to accept that. Thank you again.

Michele, my oldest daughter told me when she was 10, that she never wanted kids. She's now 38, and her career is all she wants. She never changed her mind. Her boyfriend doesn't want children either. It's their decision to make, period. Your hair is fabulous. Don't change it. It actually looks like you had it done professionally, adding gray. It suits you. It doesn't make you look older. Thank you for talking about not having kids. I never take it personally either but my mom said too, if she had the choice she wouldn’t chose motherhood. She was still an amazing mother and still is. I knew deep inside I wanted to be a mother, so so bad. My daughter is 6 months now and I’m so happy she gets to grow up and decide for herself 🩷

Happy birthday, Michele! As a graying 45-year-old, I have some thoughts about the hair color thing. I get a fair amount of compliments on my hair, but I also get some “Oh, I could never.” I think for some people, the idea that a woman would choose to look her age (or older) is deeply unsettling. So I’m betting that those negative comments come from a place of discomfort, of having their whole view of aging challenged.

Happy birthday you young thing! My 50’s sent me some issues with hormones, of course, but I’m 63 now and that’s behind me. Life keeps getting better and better. I hope you find the same for your future! Edit: my last big knitting project was a christening gown for my granddaughter. I think it’s time to start a new project and knitting was a discovery in my 50’s.

Literally on the day of my birthday my life came into clarity and I decided not to care what other people think about me and my life became so much better. I would say def have credit cards, but learn to use them judiciously and, most importantly, always pay off the balance before the due date. Not just the minimum, but the full amount. So you have to determine how much money to spend on the cc so you can afford to pay it off. The idea is to build good credit as it helps towards loans, mortgages, leases, rental agreements, etc.

You are a charm! Hint with the CCard sitch. Use a credit card instead of cash or check...live within your means and pay off the whole bill every penny every darn month. Use a CC card that gives 1-2% back on charges and get PAID to use the card. My wife and I have accumulated $1000's of $ using our very only one CCard this way. We charge everything on the card down to coffee tea and muffins. We Pay off the whole bill and reap the rewards. Happy Birthday! And use your CC card to make money!

Happy Birthday Michele!! I just wanted to say that almost every day that you upload, it always keeps me company while I'm putting my face on for the day hehe. I'm based in California and usually, I start to put on makeup shortly after I wake up (as I am writing this I am using the ombre premiere Laque Chanel eyeshadow, and I just always can't help but agree with how finicky it is to use every time I put it on lol). I usually take at least an hour or two to get ready so your long vlogs always keep me plenty of company as well! But besides that point, I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your presence, and as someone who is 24, queer, and an Asian American, and watches your channel: you really feel like the guardian I really wish I had. I really hope this doesn't come off strange but just as you gave advice in this video or recommended beauty products and just showing how you live your life are all things that I use or can use to help guide my own life or validate my own opinions. Coming to understand your character and who you are as a person does not only allow me to perceive you as a role model but also as someone who offers a safe space of comfort and trust. I hope these words reach you, I don't normally think of it this deeply when I watch your content. But as I settle into these words and thoughts, I almost become emotional haha. Enjoy 50! It’s a great age, the prime of our life. I’ll be 80 in 2 weeks and don’t know where the time has gone. I loved every phase of my life and remember being good to myself and taking care of myself very consciously at 5 and am glad I did. It pays off later so I would advise everyone to do that😮

Wow!!! I never thought about people thinking grey hear makes you look poor! That’s so interesting! I used to dye my hair because it was fun, but once I started to swim it came out so quickly that I can’t be bothered now. What I don’t like is that it changes the contrast between my face and hair. Changes how my makeup looks. Makes my hair look dry. I haven’t felt like my relationship has been work either. We have been together 31 years and I’m 48 now.
