The floor is in your house or business... the ground is dirt outside what you walk on. So... the star was on the ground. Look it up in the dictionary.

In casual speech you don't need to speak precisely according to the dictionary definition of every word, as long as the meaning is conveyed that's what matters. Even if that was a requirement, Ant would be in the clear. According to the dictionary, one of the definitions of "floor" is: The ground or lowermost surface, as of a *forest* or ocean.
