Semper Fi Brother ! Happy Birthday, Your story is so reconcilable to me . I set foot in Phuket in 1989 with 3/7 . Spent 6 months all over S.E.A . Prior to that 2 years in Naples Italy. The Corps and travel experiences change my life forever . Too many years in Law Enforcement. I’m done , Coming there to find peace and live a great life I have earned . Howz the hunting and fishing in Michigan these days? Would like to get there sometime. Any better areas you'd recommend?

Hunting and fishing is great. I think the southern lower peninsula has the biggest deer, mostly corn fed. But you can only use straight-walled rifle cartridges or shotgun because it's densely populated. Northern Michigan and the Upper peninsula has a lot of deer and you can use high powered rifle cartridges, but the deer tend to be smaller. Your choice, I guess. Everywhere is good for fishing, especially on the Lake Michigan side near Grand Haven and Ludington.
