Aljo is massive and 145 is littered with strikers not accomplished wrestlers so I back his chances because he has been in their with faster more elusive strikers before and styled on them. But it’s now topuria he is gunning for and that matchup is fun!

The sport needs to get weight cutting under control. A bantamweight who walks around at 172, depletes his body to make 145, to then rehydrate and fight is such a strange concept. Not hating Aljo, 99% of fighters do it, I just wish people fought around 10 pounds close to what they actually weigh. Surely that would make for better fights? more power, more cardio, better chins etc?

Well he fought at bantamweight and is now stepping up to flyweight so he will be fighting bigger opponents. Kattar has a 4 inch height advantage on Aljo and a bigger reach.

Kattar is a good fighter. He’s only lost 5 fights in the last 14 years and that’s against top opponents.
