My husband and I with our 3 young sons were 3000 miles from home in San Francisco, downtown. It had to have been the most surreal thing I will ever experience. We flew home 4 days later amid the chaos of the changing air travel scene. If you think security lines are bad now, it’s nothing. We had to wait in line in SF for 4 hours and could only get half way home. All perspective. Thank you for your thoughts from flight crew perspective. Btw, my hubby flew yesterday, 9-11, and,yes, I was thinking about 20 years ago.

I'm starting to travel now and I've gotten into the habit of buying Starbucks gift cards and I had them out to the flight crew. I even ask the flight attendant to give one to the pilot and copilot. It's the only way I can say "thank you" and because of your vlog, I know how long your days can be and a nice cup of coffee or two helps. The moment I saw your hair I loved it. All dry, I love it more. It fits your fun and bubbly personality. Wear it more like this, it’s very Stella. 9/11, I think anyone who was old enough at the time remembers it like a stamp on your brain. I worked for FedEx (now retired) and that day we had to transform our air operation to all ground in a matter of hours. Kudos to all who made it happen, it was a team effort, but those times were scary, heartbreaking, but also filled with determination. I loved how our country came together as a united people. Loved your Trader Joe’s haul. Since moving, I don’t have one near by anymore so I love seeing what you get from there. Thanks for always making me smile. Frances, I just adore him! All of my fur babies have now crossed the Rainbow Bridge, so getting to see his beautiful playful self gives me such warm vibes. How can you not love and adore his joyful personality?

OMG-the thing that most stood out for me in this video is that Stella lives within walking distance to a Trader Joes!!!!! If I had a TJs that close I would be there everyday! Want to know how you liked the Chips in a Pickle?? And as for crackers, I suggest you get the Organic Garlic Naan Crackers. And the Old Amsterdam Gouda Cheese pairs really well with them. You ought to do an entire video on your Trader Joes hauls! And no, you did not eat your lunch. If you did you would not have asked if you did...oh, do you ever fly into other parts of Mexico besides Cancun? Have you worked a flight to Guadalajara?

That sucks! Our trip trade system lets you put a limit so if it's not dropped up until 24 hours before the trip then we would have to confirm the trip if someone wants it in the last 24 hours.

Have you visited any of the tourist attractions in DC? The Smithsonian museums and monuments are such a once in a lifetime visit for Americans who don't live near DC.

I live in the DC area and I never realize how lucky I am to live near DC with the monuments and such nearby! If you need any tips, ask me! I will try to answer, but I'm only human. God bless those souls from 9/11. I was just 7 years old playing at the playground after school when I heard the news! I had JUST moved to Virginia (DC area) from Massachusetts that summer too. Such a heartbreaking tragedy 😭🙏🏽🇺🇲

I worked a trip from FLL to LAX on Sept 10th..the night prior! Was stuck in LAX for 1 week until we made it back to base MIA. I knew 3 of the FA'S on the flight that crashed in the north tower. I was based in BOS fresh out of training so had flown with Betty Ong just 9 months prior. I use to work that same flight with her on the B767 ..who knew when she wished me Good Luck in your new base MIA that would be the last time I saw her. I flew until 2003 and decided to stop flying due to new responsibilities.

Stella, love you and your vlog! Can I be Franny’s fan club President? 😆 Every time I see him he makes me smile. I had a Giant Schnauzer named Bruno who passed away 6 years ago, and Francis looks and acts like a tiny version of my boy! ❤️ Also, yes, I remember vividly where I was on that day. I was in the middle of teaching a class when my friend, who was a flight attendant and at EWR, called me at work. I thought it was weird that the office transferred the call and interrupted my teaching instead of making him leave a message. He kept asking me over and over where my boyfriend was. (He knew that he worked in the South Tower of the WTC.) I thought he was trying to prank me, as he often did, because he wasn’t making any sense. Then he told me that he could see one of the towers on fire from the Newark airport and told me to turn on my classroom TV…. I was in total shock, and then I saw the other plane fly into the second tower. I called my bf’s cellphone, but no answer. The principal sent me home because I was clearly a wreck. I did nothing but lie on the couch watching the news - that video over and over, until finally he called! His cell phone had been in his bag that went down with the tower. He had made it out safely and had already been heading north with his officemates when the buildings fell. What it a surreal day. I was so extremely grateful that we had been so fortunate, but in the weeks and months that followed, it felt like we were actually walking through that dust and rubble in our everyday lives. Honestly, it still feels unreal, and I cannot watch any of the video of that day anymore. I just had to put it away. It was an event that showed me how heavily chance and luck play in our lives every day. My concept of believing we were put on this planet “for a reason” also died on that day. How could so much loss, pain, and heartache for others live right next door to my relief, joy and thankfulness?! - that’s just unexplainable to me. I now believe that since everything in life can change so horribly into an unfathomable nightmare for any one of us, I should be doing my best to leave nothing but happiness in my wake and to appreciate things while I’m here. Geez! I totally didn’t mean for this post to get so deep. I thank you, though, Stella, for being such a ray of sunshine! Watching you and Franny makes me happy and I appreciate that!! Smile on!

Great turn! I've donecrge same exact thing. Forgot that I posted my trip. Went to the airport (1 5 hrs away) and went to check in. It stated to call scheduling. Response, "You are not scheduled. No trip on your line. Yep, it was picked up." I had asked im all dressed, do you need a flight attendant? No and Nothing to pick up. VCk home I went. All dressed and no party! Bless all the flight crews and passengers and their families. Their memories hold in our hearts.

Stella, I love the pin. I work for the CPPD in NY as a Civilian Employee and every year we have a ceremony with CIty Hall outside where a piece of 911 stands. The ex-mayor of the town I work in lost her husband that day and she was one of the guest speakers. I still remember 911 like it was yesterday. I worked at IBM at the time and we heard it on the radio and the next thing we know IBM was locked down and the tv's came rolling out. When I got how that day I remember going out on my balcony and a person who I never meant said he was working on top of a near by building when it happened. We will never forget all the lives that were lost that day and all the forces who saved people out of the building risking their own lives.😢💙👮‍♀️👮‍♀️👩🏾‍🌾👨🏼‍🌾

Ms. Stella - I had just got back on Friday from a flight and I deliberately booked it so I would not fly on 9/11. When me and my friend landed back at our home airport, one of the airport workers mentioned 9/11 and just getting people on their way this weekend (if I heard her correctly). I was very young so I do not remember 9/11 but just reading about it in history and what not, as a nation - we are forever changed. Safety to you, all passengers, crews and airports continually! Hi Stella! Major fan! American living in Europe. I have degenerate disc disease,therefore I dance 4 hours a day because I do not take pain pills, though I bit the bullet! Dance opens up the oxygen in the spinal track! I must keep my weight down, therefore zero salt a bit sugar ( which feeds cancer) salt is a killer along with packing on major weight! H2O only for one month as your only beverage eleminate salt & sugar from your diet.. you will drop major weight! Stella. You set the time when the trip will be removed from the board when you are dropping. I always put it at 10pm the night before to avoid exactly what happened to you. I am glad you enjoyed your day off.

I had fell asleep on my couch watching TV after getting up to change & feed my son who was 10mos old at the time. I live in WA state so I'm 3hrs behind NY time & my Pops calls me at 5 somethin our time literally yelling "WE'RE UNDER ATTACK TURN ON THE NEWS!!" I'm looking at the first hit tower & talkin to my Pops for maybe 3-4mins & we see the 2nd plane hit. As they ran into the buildings my Pops who ran big construction jobs that won awards etc said "I hate seeing all those guys running up in those buildings cuz they're gonna fall"
