The sparkle is the meta progression thing for secret rooms they normally have x's without the perk; the x is hard to see with it but the sparkle is added

You keep only doing the first bit of event rooms/not checking the other options. Sometimes getting one thing locls you out of getting others, but not always. In the fishing room, for example, you can try catching fish until the rod breaks, and some of them are really good rewards. You don't have to stop after one attempt!

Agree, i think he also didn't see the mimic room (chest with eyes) at 17:28. Pretty good loot drop there, better than the dexerity that pretty common

Also also Precision is GOATed and was actually doing quite a bit for your damage output; it went down noticeably once you swapped it out. Not thay you weren't still doing good damage, but there wasn't much reason not to wait until at least your next level up to see if what you got was worse and you wanted to swap that.

but Precision seems to be bugged, once Olexa swapped the trait, the 2 stacks stayed, and did not get removed. gave him a flat 20% Crit chance bonus. That can be nicely abused!

Goated as always Olenkas, btw Souls are now an in-run currency! They are just like coins but more special, so don't be afraid of using those in a run at your leisure, the only meta progression thing that matters is the crowns you get when defeating a boss

Right here’s the damage breakdown for stuff: First tazer had a range of 16-1000 that’s a huge flux, it is literally impossible for you to get a proper comparison from 10-20 sec rooms, you could literally get 10x more dmg but it would perform worse if it all low rolled against previous room with only high rolls 2nd the more variety of dmg increases the more they overlap and give more I.e +100% dmg and +100% dmg means 3x dps but +100% dmg +100% fire rate means 4x dps Topaz: +5% lightning dmg that applies on thresholds, so it’s increase is inconsistent but would be ~2.5x) with 40% crit overall it’s a 10% dps increase Thunder mask: just a +10% dps up Thunderbolt ring: so shock gave you a 1.2x multiplier this increases to a 1.3x, had you gotten the set effect would have been 1.4x -> 1.6x. So basically raven talisman was best. And topaz is kinda ass

Also when you tried your new build with the gatling gun, you needed to try another floor before deciding to switch back because it takes at least a room to attune to most of the items you swapped in.

The bonfire at the start of each floor is a recent update.

You had plenty of souls to fully replenish your flasks at that final bonfire or even buy extra hearts; remember those are options now!

Biggest adivce about this game is to play for present potential and not future potential. If you get a room reward that may make your build better, go for it, and keeping items that may make a build better later arent as good. This is because the game gives you traits and items that synergize with what you currently have more often than not. The game knows your build and attempts to make it work. Obviously,luck is still a factor and sometimes you just dont get lucky. But unless an item/weapon is SUBSTANTIALLY better, you are not encouraged to pivot or mix abd match synergies. Great stuff Tyler, been a bit since ive been around, but been enjoying this game. Glad to see you still can't read nor remember stuff that happened earlier in the run 😂

Today's Olexa Moment: "It is simply too much!", while getting overwhelmed by the many stats, multipliers and different buffs when comparing equipment. He also looked at the WEAPON TOTAL DAMAGE line in the character sheet before saying that ( 41:27 ). So .... THE EFFING GAME CALCULATES IT FOR YOU, hehehe and you have to read and compare ONE SINGLE VALUE! Thanks for the great video of the even greater "tazer" run!:) It was really shocking! Hehehe

You can use all the options at a campfire multiple times, i generally save my souls to buy extra stamina, unless i have a mana star build going

I know I skipped around a bit, so maybe I missed something, but why is he not spending his souls? He's going into the last floor with 80 souls. He could have bought two health upgrades and still had enough left for two full heals.
