Just now realizing I left out one of the most popular questions: Worst event you've ever done?! I would say that the most practical advice I can give is to skip out on first or second year cons (if you need to travel to them). I did a couple of first year events and they were never worth it to travel to, especially out of state. With the exception of small, new events that are close-by and cheap to do, all my poorest events have always been new cons in new cities, (AI SD is my most prominent example , cancelled after the first year).

I didn’t know you were a Phoenix local! I have seen you at some many Phoenix comic cons and other shows so that’s cool you are local! I have been looking for more small shows to do around the valley so I might need to check this one out and the other ones you listed in the q&a. And that’s so touching about the mom coming by every year even after her daughter passed. I really love when people come by every year. It makes the show feel even more special!

As sad as that story is at the beginning, its really warming to know you'll be a core memory of another family. I think as an artist, we really wanna move people in so many different ways, but i think making this type of memory is never planned and it means the most when it does happen, imo.
