This was the best parody! I found your channel when I began my engineering program a few years ago. It was very relaxing after finishing homework watching you work your way through these levels. My last course of the program just finished yesterday so it’s fitting that today you finished up Poly Bridge 2! For people not in the know, they may arrive and get put off by the parodies as intros (due to no context) where as if it's further in it gives them time to 'settle in' and for Matt to introduce it. I mean, some people just can't handle all that awesome without some sort of warm up...

Just learned trebuchet is a catapult using counter weight instead of tension I always thought they meant the same thing that’s why I love watching rce

Strictly not. A catapult is a more general term for "flingy thing". An Onager is a torsion based system (the classic 'catapult' style of thing). The distinguishing factor on a trebuchet is that it has a separate cable attaching the end of the arm to the projectile, which unfurls giving an effectively higher arm length and a more efficient use of energy. Note that counterweight trebuchets are the classic ones you see with the big frame, but traction trebuchets, using people pulling a cable (also known as mangonels), flywheel trebuchets, and even sprung trebuchets exist. Note that the term catapult encompasses a very wide range of weapons (and other systems), but the general factor is a non-propellant-based system for firing a projectile, (though generally not a dart/arrow like projectile, though strictly some such weapons are included). The term is wide enough to encompass things like trebuchets, aircraft launchers on carriers, and slingshots, all under the same definition.
