I am an immigrant, was never easy but here I am sharing my story. Have you ever considered to move to another country? What’s your take on immigration? Before I emigrated my country I had the wrong opinion about immigration. I was naive, I thought it was a simple thing and that anyone could do it… but oh boy I was so wrong. There is so much paperwork involved and a lot of bureaucracy. You must be a very strong minded person to survive this process but I will never regret of this life changing decision.

You immigrated the right way. America is a country of immigrants. People are mainly offended by immigrants who come in the door illegally. It's like they are visiting, and their first act is to break the laws. And it overwhelms the system.

I am originally from Germany. I attended music college in Boston, MA, from 2000 to 2003. After graduation, I returned to Germany because I didn't feel ready to live in the U.S. yet. I was able to get a merit-based green card and immigrated in November 2016. I became a U.S. citizen in 2023. I absolutely LOVE this country now, and vanlife has enabled me to see so much of it already. It still blows my mind that various states are bigger than Germany. I also still feel strongly connected to Germany and might move back one day to spend more time with my family. For the most part, I have only met good people here, but I share some of the cons with you, like the quality of food. Also my mom is from Venezuela, immigrated to Germany in the 80s, moved to Southern Spain when she retired. So I grew up with the life of an immigrant. Safe travels! 😎🇺🇲

@@sharknato6572 This isn't 1950. Ain't no illegals crossing the border to pick fruits and veggies for anyone. They cross the border illegally to get the food stamps, free phones and free everything else Democrats are handing out in order to change the voting demographics of every state for all future elections. And food in Canada is so expensive because 1- it's a socialist country so EVERYTHING is more expensive and 2- Canadians realized they can't live on Maple Syrup and Bacon but because they can't grow or produce anything due to crappy weather 8 months out of the year...they have to import everything to live. Has nothing to do with imaginary fields in America full of illegals harvesting food. That hasn't been a reality since the advent of the Combine Harvester.

right.... she's living in a van making KZbin videos for a living. what exactly is she contributing to this country? content creating? as if we don't have millions of people here that already do that who were born here. people who come here illegally do so because they don't have the means to do it legally and also they are usually fleeimgfrom horrible dangerous parts of the world. She is NOT the same as the immigrants from third world countries. She seems like she came here just because she wanted to live in American for fun. not because it was life or death. I see she's keeping the Spanish tradition alive of keeping down people who were originally from this place to begin with.

@@sharknato6572 Cheap labor or jobs you are unwilling to do is not a reason for illegals to remain in this country or any country. There are work visas for migrants who seek work in agriculture. The majority, if not all of the Americans around me are patriotic, happy to be here, and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. It’s not fair to think people take their home for granted just because they want improvements, accountability, and hold it to a higher standard. If anything, this only shows the love and pride that they have. As a veteran and someone who’s spent a lot of time abroad, I’m impressed and amazed at the patriotism and pride that I’ve seen in the USA throughout my life. 🇺🇸

Not because their life is in danger or because they are living in really poor conditions. do you not have a brain or? My dad was a post war immigrant from Czech Republic. He was allowed to immigrate to Australia but he had to leave his sense of humour behind 😮 I think you might have coined a new term, …. Spain Splaining ! Your English is very good. I think you are very courageous going to a new country!

It’s always interesting to hear the perspectives of people from other countries regarding the quality of food in the US. You’re not the only immigrant I’ve heard pointing out the crazy amount of processed and non organic food here as opposed to in their home country. Kind of wild.😂. Very informative video. Thanks for sharing.

Hola Lidia, I was lucky to have spent ten years living in Spain, and I miss everything about that country. The sea food, croquetas, el jamon, tortilla, paella, y tantas otras comidas. En fin preferia vivir alli que aqui. I am glad you are finding your happiness here.

I remember living in Spain in 80 or should I say from 80 to 84. We lived in Royal oaks. No longer there. Moraleja owns the place I think. But it was fun, played soccer. Keep up your videos. I'm here in vegas. Planning on some trips.

I believe can get boquerones (canned) at the Walmarts in TJ. They carry some Spanish foods, and each store has its own little Spanish section. You can even get tortillas, but they not the best, ha. They're easy to make..I'm making one right now... You might even be able to get boquerones fresh if you know where look in TJ. Would love to hear the backstory you became so athletic? I know a lot of people do surfing and skating in Spain, but they're not the most popular activities. It's all football, football, football...

I can't wait to see more of your content and I'll definitely be sharing your channel with my friends too!! 😊 Also if it's okay to ask, I would love to see a video on hygiene tips, like shaving and other routines, because you always look so clean and put-together despite living in a van (love the brown color btw it's soo cute!).

I'm learning Spanish. When you said you won 25 pounds I wondered why you used the word won. And then I thought about losing weight. And I thought oh wow that makes sense haha. You're doing awesome with your English, I hear it's many times harder than learning Spanish. And only 6 months in, I already understand why. Also "gained" or "lost" weight is how it's said. I felt like I am now obligated to throw that in there 😄❤️ love your channel, new sub.
